Original Out Run Arcade - Passing Breeze (Sega 1986)
12A quick race in Sega's 1986 classic arcade game Out Run! Quite A challenging game, as you can't always see the road ahead of you as the screen dips and curves, but still fun to play after all these years. The Synthwave music track is Passing Breeze from the original game.
I've played both the upright and sit-down versions, and remember when this game first hit arcades in 1986 and people were practically lined up out the door to play it.
Another aspect of Out Run that made it so challenging was the fact there were no continues in the original game. Once the clock ran out, the race was over. Flipping your Ferrari just once was enough to ruin the entire race and never make it to the finish line.
