In this video I show the MeshFromStrands modifier in Ornatrix for 3ds Max.

I demonstrate the different settings and tabs, show how you can create three types of mesh for hair. Also, showing how you can use any geometry as a proxy-mesh in Ornatrix. That is, this geometry will be instead of guides.

The same modifier is useful for creating haircards, animal needles, and so on. You can even create some kind of mechanical hair with details or tentacles. Anything. It already depends on your imagination.
