The war could be going a lot worse, considering the Teekans are able to blast troop transports from orbit. But in Distant Worlds, war isn't everything. With our attempts to expand continuing to be blocked on all sides, it's time to try and make friends with the neighbors, swing the weight of our economy, and try our best to hold onto what we have. Time will tell if that works out.

Distant Worlds 2 is the follow up to Distant Worlds: Universe, and it's fair to say that not breaking a working formula has been the right play. The UI and presentation has been greatly improved, but Distant Worlds 2 still holds onto its mostly 4x roots where you are free to automate as much as you want while watching the private economy prop up your empire. Look out for blind tech tree excitement AND new story events that continues the story from Universe. Prior experience not required.
