The gears are finally turning in the right direction, and our plans for Distant Worlds 2 are starting to come to fruition. Beyond the original veil of space and a cubbyhole of nebulas lies all kinds of trade partners, and with the promise of profit comes even more irresponsible expansionism. It's a good day to be a space gerbil, especially since the Teekans have enough cash on hand to try and placate the space bugs. What a time to be alive, no? Surely this can't last. But seriously, dude has a scissor hand. Just the one. Just wanna pinch his cheeks and tell him how diabolical he is.

Distant Worlds 2 is the follow up to Distant Worlds: Universe, and it's fair to say that not breaking a working formula has been the right play. The UI and presentation has been greatly improved, but Distant Worlds 2 still holds onto its mostly 4x roots where you are free to automate as much as you want while watching the private economy prop up your empire. Look out for blind tech tree excitement AND new story events that continues the story from Universe. Prior experience not required.
