When I first played GFP, I was finding that GP was so limiting as equipment was so expensive to get strengthened. It wasn't until I got the paw paws (from the Xiao ninja cat) that GP was doing okay, but then I got into higher rank stuff and the paw paws just wasn't doing so well. Demon soul came in handy, but even that wasn't enough. When I figured out the secret to shop guard grinding, it took a bit to sink in, but I realized the true potential. Now, GP is a complete nonissue. If I run short on GP again, I just only need a run through advanced's first 30 floors where none of the very dangerous enemies are, using zombies to level up, and I'm covered for maxing several dozen of equipment.
The real secret to getting millions upon hundreds of millions of GP quickly is nothing short of shop guard grinding. Beginner martial arts isn't worth it as enemy levels are so low. Intermediate isn't all that much different, but they're almost 4 times as much GP and you level up quickly enough that it becomes worthwhile. However, the absolute fastest method for GP requires some really strong equipment and/or previous shop guard grinds, level 4 equipment being the absolute soonest meaningfully possible, advanced martial arts is the way to go, being 8 times more effective than intermediate.
The deeper into the dungeon you go, the higher the area stat multiplier gets. For this situation, I was in deep enough that the multiplier was 10x. It starts as 4x for the first 20 floors then increases by 1 for every 20 floors after that. With a proper setup, maxing out demon soul and being able to skip to stage 3 of the process, each shop guard yields a bit over 400K GP. With potentially 1400 turns maximum at shop guard grinding, one shop guard per turn, that's 560 million GP. Short of doing this on floors 141 to 149 (150 is the boss), for an 11x multiplier, there is no faster rate of accumulating GP than this.
