Vivaldi's Concerto B Flat Major for Oboe, Violin, Strings, and Harpsichord p406 by Antonio Vivaldi, with some background painting for extra flavor. Basically, painting set to music without any commentary or discussion. If you want some classical music via youtube, this will give you some additional background imagery. Or if you just want to watch a novice try to freehand paint, this is for you.

The featured oil painting's subject includes another attempt to emulate the way the experts sometimes paint very dark, high contrast backgrounds behind subjects. I love the look, and it's something I'll probably do a lot in the near future. I've taken to calling this "the Thrill of Painting" although the subject looks less than thrilled. While painting it though, I did reflect on the things I love about painting, and how it's actually thrilling to me to approach certain portions (like the background, blocking in shapes, and as features crystalize). I think this is what Bob Ross meant by his show’s title “The Joy of Painting.”
