Previous Stage: Sunset Express
Next Stage: Redpepper Crater

That's right--we're heading back to the red sector. We began the game there, with Ruddy Road and Cherry Lake as the first two stages, then got the first Big Paint Star at the Crimson Tower. Now, 20 stages later, Mario is back to wrap it up, and he'll begin with the fiery Redpepper Volcano.

Mario's access to Redpepper Volcano is extremely limited when he first finds the place, as there are wide pools of magma that Mario cannot cross. In order to do so, he needs to have acquired the Orange Big Paint Star at Starlight Cape in the 25th stage, which will restore the Draggadon skeleton in Marmalade Valley, the 10th stage, who will fly over to Redpepper Volcano and reside in it. This is not enough though--it's a wild Draggadon and does not respond well to outsiders. Mario will need to tame it, and for that, he needs the Basin Thing, the Fishing Rod, and the Magma Burger, all of which are found at Fort Cobalt, the 16th stage. The Basin conks out the Draggadon long enough for Mario to stand on its head, and he can then tie the Magma Burger tot he Fishing Rod to create a lure to steer the Draggadon where he wants. From there on out, Mario can then access the entirety of Redpepper Volcano.

But you, Colorless Montage viewer, won't be seeing that, as Mario can't reach any spots from atop the Draggadon's head. However, you'll see another unusual phenomenon in Redpepper Volcano: Magma with its color drained is safe to stand on and is considered a harmless platform until the spot is fully restored. (Which means the Slurp Guys can somehow drink magma.) Since colorless things are frozen in time, the liquid magma is considered solid, and the Draggadon cannot pass through it until Mario restores the color back and returns the magma back to its regular fluid state.

Remember that when you're filling in the colorless magma, you should start from the back. Well, maybe it doesn't actually matter that much...

Any spots known to be difficult to find or reach are marked with a (*).
