Meanwhile, it seems there's not quite as much attention to these videos, and they've actually gone down in viewership ever since I added which weapon is featured in each video on the title. I suppose it's because I'm going through basic stuff right now, and I'll move on to the more advanced weapons and new weapon subclasses later. If you're waiting for the Splat Brella, that will come up pretty soon.

This one, however, will feature a staple of Splatoon 1, the .96 Gal. The Gals (nothing to do with women except that Inkling girls can wield them) are a subclass of automatics that have a low fire rate, though not quite as low as the blasters. They're compensated by having very damaging shots, with only two hits needed to splat someone. This isn't as blindingly fast as the Sploosh-o-matic, but they are still incredibly quick and have a much better range than the Sploosh. The Gals are so efficient at splatting that they became the central weapon subclass of the S-Ranked lot, as splatting not only provides you turf in your color, but it slows the opposing team down by sending them back to the start. The Gals are not very good at inking, however, and in Turf War, are best paired with an Inkling better suited to inking to allow th Gal user space to maneuver around. The .96 Gal differs from its younger sibling, the .52 Gal, in that it has a longer range but consumes ink faster. That you'll need to duck into your ink to refill so often makes the .96 Gal more dependent on its teammates than the .52 Gal, as they're likely the ones covering the ground you need to refill in.

This .96 Gal comes with the Sprinkler and the Ink Armor. While the .96 Gal can defend its user should an opponent spot him or her, both of these provide additional shielding to keep the user secure. The Sprinkler, in addiion, also helps cover ground in ink and provides distractions for the opponent--if you see an opponent briefly mistake a Sprinkler for someone on your team, you can then attack them from an inexpected angle and splat them before they can react. That the Sprinkler covers ground is crucial to getting the Ink Armor out, because the .96 Gal requires a whopping 210p to fill up that special gauge, so far the highest of any weapon. But once the Ink Armor is out, as long as your aim is decent, you can cut swathes through the opposint gteam should their formation be poor enough. The .96 Gal is a weapon best suited to an aggressive playstyle, and so the Ink Armor should be used like so in most circumstances.

Match #4
Port Mackerel
Turf War
.96 Gal
Color Scheme: Cotton Candy 2
Song: "Inkoming!" by Wet Floor
Because the .96 Gal can splat so quickly and it has some pretty nice range, it's one of the easiest weapons to use to get rid of someone on an Inkjet. This means that if your weapon can use the Inkjet and the opposing team has a .96 Gal, you better stay on guard. Didn't get to splat much in this one though. Too many clever use of blind spots by the opponents.

Match #5
Musselforge Fitness
Turf War
.96 Gal
Color Scheme: Haribo Halloween
Song: "Rip Entry" by Wet Floor
I love those Halloween-themed Haribo gummies! Some places are already selling them as of the time I'm typing this description. I ought to go get a bag of them. (I love the regular Haribo Golden Bears too, but you can't get the Ghostly Gummies all year round.) Someone on this team was not used to the Splat Brella though, that's for sure. They ought to go use the Hero Brella in the single-player mode.

Match #6
Sturgeon Shipyard
Tower Control
.96 Gal
Color Scheme: Roselia
Song: "Rip Entry" by Wet Floor
The Gals are great for Tower Control because they are good at removing opponents from the tower, though because of their differences in range, the .96 Gal is better off on the sidelines picking off opponents whereas the .52 Gal is better on the tower because it's so good at defending itself at short ranges. Ink Armor helps a lot too.

Match #7
The Reef
Tower Control
.96 Gal
Color Scheme: Joker 2
Song: "Endolphin Surge" by Wet Floor
Naturally, the tower at The Reef is located under the bridge, by far the most defenable location, making the non-Tower-sitters very important here in that they're the ones to get rid of opponents with their eyes on the tower. The bridge itself is a popular place for them to go to, which is sometimes why I head there myself.
