In this video I demonstrate the fight with commentary on a character that takes ages to kill him.
It is a phased fight, alternating between 'dry' phases where you need to stand in or near the centre of the arena, and 'wet' phases where the centre floods with caustic liquid forcing you to the edges and spitting snakes fire skills very similar to the player skill Caustic Arrow around the arena.
In the dry phases I recommend standing in the centre, sidestepping Al-Hezmin's default melee attacks and running away from his windup slams (all of which have vocal cues).
In the wet phases, I recommend kiting around the area outskirts and trying to avoid all damage, just waiting for the phase to change back.
Characters with high chaos resistance and good life recovery, or chaos innoculation characters with good ES recovery can ignore this advice, and engage Al-Hezmin directly during the wet phases. High chaos resistance means close to capped, not merely positive.
