Path of Exile - Ten Underrated Uniques For Delirium Trade League
There's so many unique items in POE that it can be hard to keep track of them all. Here's a list of some you might have overlooked.
All of these are powerful enough to merit more play than they currently see.
Most are quite rare, meaning SSF players will be lucky to see any of them.
Gifts From Above
Gifts is all about that crit and damage.
You can definitely do better with an Opal Ring which might offer defences too, but early on, 50% increased damage is a lot and 60-65% increased crit chance is golden.
The item rarity stat is all upside, but it isn't much of an upside. IIR is a pretty bad stat in POE, so you can largely ignore it. The item is good without it.
Atziri's Promise
Veteran players will know all about this item.
Despite how cheap it is, this is the second most commonly used unique item among players at very high level (96+).
It is incredibly strong.
It is strong on its own, but absolutely incredible on builds that exploit damage conversion.
If your build deals damage with hits, and is not incapable of dealing chaos damage (due to the keystone Avatar of Fire or items which grant it), you should seek this out as one of your first major upgrades upon hitting endgame.
It has a 50% drop rate from normal Atziri, so you will have no trouble getting this in SSF.
Sin Trek
These are just really solid intro ES boots with movespeed.
You don't want to be wearing these at 95, but from 62 to 85, they are great.
Searing Touch
While on the topic of starter gear that's a couple chaos but better than rares under ten exalts, The Searing Touch fits the bill.
Recently buffed to affect all fire spell skill gems, it's all the stats a Fireball character needs in one place.
You can do better, but usually not under twenty exalts.
Crown of the Inward Eye
Here's something common, albeit still hard to acquire.
Believed to have a 30% drop rate from Sirus, this is a 'waste product' produced when players seek out the chase items - Awakener's Orbs, Awakened Support Gems and The Saviour.
I made a whole video on this last league, but it's a pure power item. The Transfigurations grant lots of damage.
Then it also has up to 21% to life, mana and ES - a huge boost to survivability and damage.
Often this helm is as good offensively and defensively as an extremely good influenced rare.
This item is versatile enough to be popular to enchant in trade leagues, and you can realistically expect to find your 'perfect' enchant for sale on it... for a price.
The Pandemonius
This feels filthy to list here, as it's well known as a chase item and as the best Breach unique.
However, it's still underrated. It's just that good.
Amazing damage (24% penetration and 36% cold damage at 20% quality) - this alone makes it compelling to use.
Then add in the strong chill, and the blind - you are looking at an absolute powerhouse.
This chill also turns on all sorts of "adds extra damage to chilled enemies" mods.
Martyr of Innocence
Fair warning: This is a fire spellcaster staff, better than Searing Touch for many builds - but it can and will get you killed on physical reflect maps.
This is all about that incredible fire damage to spells and conditional firepen.
This item is Tier 1 rarity and very cheap at the moment but is one popular build away from being expensive.
Voidforge
Starforge's unwanted twin, this sword deals incredible damage but is hard to scale.
You want sources of flat physical damage - steel rings, Cyclone, Murderous Eye Jewels with flat phys, etc etc. But then you can't scale with most usual methods.
Starforge is probably 'stronger' at the moment due to the option to use the Pride aura, but Voidforge remains good.
Zerphi's Heart
The fixed Headhunter!
This has serious drawbacks - no life, no resists and no capacity to be a Shaper item for Eternity Shroud, plus you usually need to "waste" 3-6 passive points on stat nodes to use it.
However, the power is undeniable, and only got better when it received a huge, huge buff in 3.10.
Soul Eater grants 5% cast speed and 5% attack speed, and also a silly 1% character size for each monster you kill. These build up over the 20 second base duration, which can be extended via shenanigans involving you suffering from Temporal Chains. But even at 20 seconds, it's incredible.
In fast mapping, you can easily acquire 100 souls during the duration of this effect, for 500% increased attack and cast speed.
Be warned: This item is legitimately very, very rare. If you are SSF you should expect to never, ever see this.
Shadowstitch
This one is SSF attainable - within limits.
Acquired only by feeding a Sacrificial Garb to Alva's Corruption Altar, and even then only with a 25% chance, it's a fairly high barrier for entry - but this can be juicy.
You can modify socket colours on it for a price.
