Hello, I have been using this file archiver for years for Linux Mint, because it has options (like compression level) that I would consider to be basic to any REAL archiving program. Linux does not normally give the user an option for compression level in the GUI interface and has never had a decent GUI interface for file archiving anyway.

Installing PeaZip is incredibly easy. My best friend is into backing up his hard drive to an external drive. I taught him about file compression. If you are going to back up files, why not have them take up less space? Furthermore, adding 30,000+ files in one thing (like a texture pack) bogs down performance on your external hard drive as opposed to adding 1 FILE which contains all files and folders inside AND takes up less space anyway.

Adding tens or hundreds of thousands of files at once to your external hard drive is a file allocation nightmare. Give your hard drive a break with file archiving today!
