"Peetoo's Revenge" indie game playthrough
A game by Nicolas "BogoSoft" DeStefano, released October 2001. Download it here: https://www.bogozone.net/peetoo.html
The sequel to Peetoo the Happy Dinosaur and refining its foundations, ditching the space shooter stuff and focusing on improving the jump-and-shoot gameplay, presenting something that's a darn solid Mega Man-like. Full of silly enemies and off-the-wall concepts like the original, but it actually plays well this time! Definitely a standout among turn-of-the-millennium Clickteam creations.
The downside is that the game has no save function or passwords -- when you lose all your lives, you have to do the entire game from scratch with no way of skipping ahead. What's worse, you need a perfect score in every level to unlock access to Level 0, an add-on implemented in version 1.1 -- originally you needed perfect scores just to reach the final boss, apparently...!
Level 0 is from the "Peetoo's Revenge Halloween Special," released separately on The Daily Click. I had to record it from the standalone release, as the dreaded audio-stutter glitch struck when I finally reached it on a legit playthrough...!
