A game by Andrew "AndyUK" Ludford, released December 2005. Download it here: https://kliktopia.org/details/Buzz the squirrel 2 (AndyUK).html

A surprisingly slick Super Mario Bros. clone, despite what the Sonic aesthetic might lead you to think! Make Buzz hop and bop through 22 levels, bashing question blocks, stomping on enemies, and contending with moving platforms and tricky springs. There's even blocks you can pick up and throw, just to cover all the bases. It's hard to describe its merits in text, it's just nice to play something solid in Clickteam without having to make concessions.

Although relatively no-frills -- there's no power-ups or major surprises -- it's a solid little game, if prone to being cheeky, what with blocks giving little warning to them containing hazardous bombs or spikes, or masquerading them as springs when you least expect it. The pastel colour palette also makes it tricky to make out things at a glance.

The final fight appears to be broken by default, as once Zak leaves the left side of the screen you're left to contend with two projectiles chasing you forever -- Zak's X-position wraps from 0 to 65535 when he exits, which would take close to an hour before he shows up again, in theory...! I had to 'repair' the fight by manually warping him back to his start position, and also reduced his hitpoints from 20 to 10 to make life easier on myself.
The save file only adds red coins to its tracking data until after the game is complete, so unless you beat the game in one sitting, I don't know if that ever displays correctly during the credits.
