매 라운드 주어진 주사위를 굴리고, 조합을 맞춰 점수를 계산하며 목표 점수 이상을 달성해야 다음 라운드로 넘어갈 수 있는 전략형 주사위 로그라이크 퍼즐 게임입니다.
게임은 3개의 라인에 주사위를 배치하는 방식으로 진행됩니다. 각 라인의 주사위 조합에 따라 A 점수가 계산되고, 조합이 좋을수록 높은 점수를 얻죠. A는 포커처럼 페어, 트리플, 스트레이트 등으로 계산되며, B 점수는 가장 높은 주사위 값 + 주사위 개수로 산정됩니다. 최종 점수는 모든 라인의 A 합 × B 합으로 계산되며, 주어진 턴 안에 목표 점수를 넘겨야 성공입니다.
주사위는 최대 2회 리롤이 가능하며, 목표 점수를 초과하거나 1턴 클리어 시 오버킬 보너스도 존재합니다. 라운드를 클리어하면 수정기(모드파이어)를 선택할 수 있으며, 이는 주사위를 업그레이드하거나 능동적으로 전략을 바꾸는 데 핵심적인 요소입니다. 숫자 변경, 문양 추가, 색상 페인트 등 다양한 형태가 존재하며, 주사위에 특별한 효과를 부여할 수 있습니다.
수정기를 사용하면 주사위에 능동 스킬이나 패시브 트리거 효과를 부여할 수 있고, 라인에 배치해서만 발동되는 효과도 있어 배치 전략이 매우 중요해지죠. 페인트를 사용하면 색상에 따라 고유 효과를 얻을 수 있지만 기존의 숫자나 문양을 잃게 되므로 주의가 필요합니다.
각 라운드 후에는 상점에 들러 골드를 사용해 수정기, 주사위, 유물을 구매할 수 있습니다. 주사위는 홀수 전용, 음수 주사위, 고정 색상 등 다양한 특성을 가진 주사위가 등장하며, 유물은 특정 조건에서 강력한 보너스를 제공합니다. 필요 없는 상품이 있다면 상점 리롤도 가능하고, 구매 없이 다음 라운드로 넘어갈 수도 있습니다.
중간중간 보스 라운드도 등장합니다. 이때는 다양한 페널티 규칙 중 하나를 선택해야 하며, 예를 들어 리롤 불가, 트리거 안 된 주사위 파괴, 라인 잠금 등 난이도가 급격히 상승합니다. 7라운드 보스전에서는 두 개의 룰이 동시에 적용되어 극한의 전략 플레이가 요구되죠. 보스를 클리어하면 보상으로 유물을 선택할 수 있습니다.
최종적으로 7라운드를 모두 클리어하면 게임 클리어이며, 클리어 시 새로운 주사위나 수정기가 해금되어 다음 플레이부터 사용할 수 있게 됩니다. 주사위를 강화하고, 조합하고, 라인을 짜 맞추는 이 게임은 전략과 도박성의 완벽한 조화를 보여줍니다.
다만, 튜토리얼로 시작한 경우에는 도전과제와 도감이 완료되지 않는 점, 일부 번역 퀄리티의 아쉬움, 게임 속도 조정 버튼이 설정 화면에만 존재하는 점, 그리고 전체적인 상점 물가가 수익 대비 높게 느껴지는 부분은 개선 여지가 느껴집니다.

Pip My Dice is a clever roguelike puzzle game where your fate hinges on strategic dice placement and high-stakes combos. Each round, roll a set of dice and assign them across three lines to build the perfect combo.
Every line contributes to your score through an A-value (poker-like hand: pairs, triples, straights) and a B-value (highest die value + number of dice used). Your final score is calculated by multiplying the sum of A-values and B-values across all lines. If you fail to reach the target score within your 3 attempts, it's game over. Overkill bonuses apply if you surpass the goal significantly.
Between rounds, choose from dice modifiers like number changes, symbol additions, or paint that changes die color and imbues effects. But be cautious—paint wipes existing values. Some modifiers trigger only when the dice are played on the board, adding a layer of tactical planning.
With earned gold, visit the shop to purchase new dice (including special ones like odd-only, colored, or negative dice), modifiers, and artifacts that offer passive boosts. Items rotate randomly, and rerolling the shop is also an option.
Boss stages introduce rule modifiers—like no rerolls or dice destruction if untriggered. Final stage boss fights stack two rules for increased challenge. Defeating them lets you pick powerful relics instead of modifiers.
Clear all 7 rounds and unlock new content like dice, symbols, and abilities for your next run. The blend of luck, planning, and resource management creates a deeply engaging experience.
Still, issues like tutorial runs not unlocking achievements, unclear translation, slightly overpriced shop items, and lack of on-screen speed toggling are worth noting.
