The focus for this series is showing it is possible to start a game with all new structures at the second size, rather than limiting installation to size one like the tutorial shows. The danger is the risk of running out of metal before all the primary domes are constructed, which would end the game. It also normally slows down being able to accept the first set of new colonist. This will delay production of metal and bio-plastic needed for additional domes and utilities. As long as you can squeeze past the "metal crunch", careful planning will keep the settlement going as long as the game doesn't do a nasty and cripple the work force with a meteorite hit that kills off some workers. If it does, that usually means "Game Over Man!"
