hidden input, command and moveset in Platinum Demo (PD). Hidden as in not shown anywhere I could find in the game at least.

_) =============================
lock-on with L1. Dunno how to show this in video, but it's there. Unlike in Episode Duscae (ED), it behaves the same as R3 lock-on, just not a toggle.

a) Directional Ravage
=============================
i) from ED ver. 2, Noctis can perform different variation of attack by flicking the left stick when executing Ravage.

ii) Airstep Sword behaves the same as ED ver. 2, just that the side and back Ravage can be extended with the air flip of the same direction.

iii) Broadsword front version also behaves the same, just faster and has better damage. Back version is now the weapon technique: Tempest, which eats 25MP and ends/resets the string. No side version still.

iv) Hero's shield forward is a multi bash. Back version is a shield throw for 25MP... from an effective range of almost point blank, this is quite useless... No side Ravage as well. Also, what's the point of the reverse grip sword?

v) No directional input for Cross Shuriken.

b) Dash attack
=============================
i) in ED, holding attack while moving is also a sprint command, but when in vicinity of a target, Noctis executes Crush.

ii) in PD, for Airstep Sword and Broadsword, Noctis does a lunging attack. For Cross Shuriken and Hero's Shield though, it's just normal Crush that kills all momentum.

c) Broadsword Crush combo
=============================
i) also in ED ver. 2, back when people's interest have died down, I discovered a sort of unique attack string with the fishbone walk-reset Crush. I'll put up a card to that video, the discussion is over there.

ii) The same Crush combo is still doable in PD, just that the input is slightly different. I couldn't find a more elegant way of executing it, but holding forward and mashing (not holding) attack seems to work.

=============================
No footnote today.
