The source game engine that runs Team Fortress 2 is more CPU driven than GPU driven, therefore, it's easier for the CPUs to heat up faster when running this game. The problem is that it appears like the Surface will throttle down the CPU if the CPU temperature reaches 80 degrees, most likely to protect the components from overheating. And even though there were some throttling even at 1280X600, the throttled CPU speed was still good enough to process this lower resolution. I would say this on is SurfaceProGaming Certified :).
