PLINK, PLINK, SMACK! | Pokémon Misty Crystal - Part 14
1Welcome to the second Pokémon Misty Mode run by TRPGinger!
The rules for this challenge are as follows (as of 1/8/2024):
#1. You must beat the game using only Pokémon that have the Water-type. You cannot catch a Pokémon that does not have the Water-type, even if intending to evolve it into one (i.e. - catching Eevee to evolve it into Vaporeon).
1.a. If a moment in the game would require you to use a Pokémon other than a Water-type, you must only use it for that purpose, then immediately release it at the earliest available opportunity. Should that Pokémon become your last surviving Pokémon in a fight, you must use attacks that do not deal damage. If this Pokémon only knows attacks that deal damage, you must restart the game from your last save.
▷Gen 1: HM01 “Cut” is required to access the following locations
-Lt. Surge’s gym
-Route to Rock Tunnel
-Erika’s gym
-Erika’s location within the gym
1.b. If you are gifted a Pokémon (or an egg that hatches into one) that is not Water-type, you must release the Pokémon at the earliest available opportunity.
#2. You must run from wild Bug-type Pokémon encounters. You may not attack, use items, or switch Pokémon. If you are unable to escape, you must continue trying to run until you are successful or your last Pokémon faints. If Togepi is your last surviving Pokémon, you may use Metronome instead of attempting to escape. (*SUBSCRIBER SUBMISSION)
#3. If you are able to obtain a Togepi using only the single game you are playing, you must obtain one as soon as possible. This Togepi is not allowed to evolve. You must keep it in your team and are not allowed to use it in battle unless it is your last surviving Pokémon, in which case it must solely use the move "Metronome," or a non-damage dealing attack if it does not know "Metronome." If this Togepi only knows attacks that deal damage (aside from Metronome), you must restart the game from your last save.
#4. You cannot use a bike in the game unless the game requires you to for a specific moment or area. (blame Ash)
