I go north of Jubilife City, and with the help of a wild Bidoof with Rock Smash, make it through the northern part of Route 204 on my way to Floaroma Town, which is a town surrounded in flowers, and with a very interesting history behind it.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

I show at the beginning of this video that I have walked over 15000 steps to try and raise Budew's friendship high enough so that she can evolve into Roselia, because if I keep her as a Budew for much longer, then I am stuck with Absorb until Level 30, which is when Roselia learns Giga Drain. I have looked, and it does get Mega Drain as a Roselia at Level 5, but it would take a large amount of time to walk around with Budew until then, because you don't have a bike or the Soothe Bell yet, which would speed up the amount of time in raising a Pokémon's friendship. I did have Zubat on the team so that once it evolves into Golbat, there is a possibility that it could evolve again into Crobat in one level, and so that I have a temporary team member to balance out my team's levels.
I do like the idea that a wild Bidoof is used for Rock Smash, because Bidoof and its evolved form Bibarel are the most popular Pokémon when it comes to HM Slaves, and the fact that a Bidoof is used for Rock Smash is a great reference. There is TM39, which contains Rock Tomb, which is a decent Rock-type move to have this early on, so this can be a good move to give to Monferno or Machop, and while Geodude can learn it, it gets Rock Throw very soon, so I don't recommend teaching Rock Tomb to Geodude.
Then you get to the northern part of Route 204, and there are no new encounters, but there are some Trainers you can fight which use some interesting Pokémon, like Cherubi and Pachirisu, and I do like the new detail where if you fight in a Double Battle and the two Trainers send out two Pokémon of the same species, it now says "two Pachirisu" instead of "Pachirisu and Pachirisu" like in the original games. You can pick up the TM for Bullet Seed on this route, I don't recommend teaching it to Turtwig as it will already have Razor Leaf by then, and don't teach it to Budew, as Bullet Seed is a Physical move, and Budew is a Special Attacker.
Then we arrive at Floaroma Town, a town filled with flowers, and when you visit the Berry Shop, talk to one of the girls there, she will give you a Sprayduck, which is a watering can based on Psyduck, so it's like the Wailmer Pail from Ruby & Sapphire, and another girl there will give you a random Berry if you talk to her every day, and you can plant Berries and water them with the Sprayduck to get a ton of Berries.
In one other house, talk to the girl with the Clefairy, and she gives you some TMs for Pluck, a Flying-type move that eats the target's held Berry when used, and as Zubat got the level up movepool nerf in this game where it no longer learns Wing Attack as a level up move, I recommend teaching it Pluck if you are planning on using a Zubat. You can even teach it to Piplup to give it a stronger Flying-type move than Peck, and Bidoof even learns that move as well.
If you talk to the elderly couple, you will get some special Pokémon, if you have save data from Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! or Let's Go, Eevee!, you will get Mew for free, while its level up movepool is very shallow, Mew is capable of learning every TM move in the game, making it one of the most versatile Pokémon ever, you can do anything you want with it. As with level up moves, it gets Pound for an attacking move, its next move is Ancient Power at Level 30, and it isn't until Level 90 that it learns Aura Sphere for its next attacking move. While its level moves are kind of underwhelming, its great versatility is what makes Mew a great Pokémon to use.
If you have save data for Pokémon Sword or Shield, you can get Jirachi, a Steel/Psychic-type Mythical Pokémon, Jirachi starts with Confusion right away, and it does get some nice moves through level up, like Zen Headbutt, Psychic, and Meteor Mash, which are learned a bit later, it is the only Pokémon to learn Doom Desire, a Steel-type move with 140 power which is like Future Sight where after two turns, the move deals damage to the target at the end of that turn, Jirachi learns it at Level 98. Jirachi does learn some interesting moves, like Thunderbolt, Water Pulse, Dazzling Gleam, Energy Ball, Flash Cannon, U-turn, and many other moves, and it has Serene Grace for its Ability, doubling the chances of secondary effects happening. Jirachi is great in competitive battling, its main use is Thunder Wave and Iron Head, but Jirachi cannot learn Iron Head in this game, so Zen Headbutt will have to do, and it can get a ton of flinches that way. There is a woman that gives you a Gracidea if you have Shaymin in your party, which is a Grass-type Mythical Pokémon, and there is a theory that Floaroma Town was formed by Shaymin.
