This is the first repeat Online Tourney, and the one they went with was the first Online Tourney we ever had, the first one I recorded was the Smash 64 Online Tourney, which was the one following this one. This one is Heroes Vs Villains, this was the first Event Tourney in this game, and it tied in with the release of Hero, which was the same update that added Online Tourney mode, so this is a repeat run of the tournament, I might take part in some repeat tournaments, but not very often.
Here are the following characters that can be selected for this Tourney:
Mario, Link, Samus, Dark Samus, Fox, Bowser, Marth, Young Link, Ganondorf, Roy, Chrom, Meta Knight, Pit, Dark Pit, Wario, Ike, Sonic, King Dedede, Toon Link, Wolf, Mega Man, Shulk, Bowser Jr., Ridley, Simon, Richter, King K. Rool, Hero, Sephiroth, Sora

The initial run was around the release of Hero, and as this is a repeat tournament, Sephiroth and Sora are now available to use in this one, because when the tournament originally went live, they weren't available at the time. Another bit of detail is that King K. Rool and Sephiroth can be used in this one, and they are villains, while the protagonists from their universe, Donkey Kong and Cloud, cannot be used. Plant Piranha and Kazuya are not selectable in this one, despite being antagonists, Piranha Plant mainly because it is a regular enemy, while Kazuya has been a protagonist in the earlier Tekken games.
This Online Tourney has its usual rules, well the same rules from its initial run, it is a 2 minute and 30 second time battle, Items are set to Medium, Final Smash Meter is turned on, and when you participate in this Online Tourney, you will earn a Spirit.
There was a good selection of characters to choose from, and for this one, I picked Simon, and I did see there was some good choices from my opponents, my starting bracket had Sephiroth, Ganondorf, and King K. Rool, while there was another player that used Sephiroth, that player's starting bracket had Bowser, Link, and Hero.
The stages we got for this one were Final Destination and Fountain of Dreams, good stage choices for a tournament, although Fountain of Dreams, despite not having any hazards, isn't allowed in tournaments, I am not referring to Online Tourney, it is about tournaments where they limit stages to ones without hazards, and even though Fountain of Dreams doesn't have hazards, it is likely because of how similar it is to Battlefield.
Music Played for Each Match:
Final Destination: Sparring Ring
Fountain of Dreams: Kirby Retro Medley
