For this video I changed the trainer class names to LEADER FALKNER and LEADER JASMINE respectively (originally were both just LEADER). Since both have more than 13 characters, they surpass the "limit" and thus the terminator character at the end of the name is skipped (removing the terminator character would be another way to do essentially the same).

And just for curiousity, the '9' of both names comes from the fact that the position (byte) of that character in the buffer is also used to determine the current pokemon of the opponent, which is reseted to 0xff during the beggining of the battle. 0xff corresponds to character '9'.
