Now that I have obtained the Soul Badge from the Fuchsia City Gym, I check out Route 19 and find Team Rocket, who have found the Gold Teeth that are needed for the Safari Zone Warden so that I can learn a Secret Technique called Strong Push. Then we enter Saffron City and check out the Fighting Dojo next to the Saffron Gym.

As the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description.

After getting the Secret Technique from the Safari Zone Warden, there is a Diglett behind the obstacle which will award a Nugget every day. You can access Cinnabar Island right now through the use of Sea Skim, but I will wait until I have beaten the Saffron Gym before Cinnabar Island.
In Celadon City, once you get Sea Skim, there is an old man who will give you the TM for Poison Jab, which can be taught to Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Sandslash, Machamp, Poliwrath and a few others. It gives good coverage against Fairy-type opponents.
Saffron City is very big, there are many areas to access, the Fighting Dojo, Silph Co. and many others. There is also the Copycat's House where you can get the TM for Substitute if you show her a Clefairy on your team. I like how they kept the talking Doduo who references "Mirror Mirror on the Wall" from Snow White. The game is different, in Copycat's Room, instead it references Pokémon Quest, a Nintendo Switch game with cube-shaped Pokémon, and can be downloaded on the eShop. The reference to Pokémon Quest removed the only reference to Mario that a Pokémon game has ever done. In the original games, the reference was to Mario & Wario, which is a game where Mario has a bucket on his head.
There is a trade in the Saffron City Pokémon Center, it will be a Raichu for an Alolan Raichu. Alolan Raichu is an Electric/Psychic-type and can be taught Psychic and Thunderbolt through TM to make up for not learning any moves by level up. It has good Speed and Special Attack, and it comes at Level 30, so if you entered Saffron City before taking on the Celadon Gym, Alolan Raichu's Psychic can easily take out the part Poison-type Pokémon in that Gym, and it can even take on the Poison-types in Fuchsia City Gym. With a nice type combination, Alolan Raichu makes a good Pokémon to add to your team, it can even be helpful against the Fighting Dojo of Saffron City.
In the Fighting Dojo, there is a Coach Trainer who gives you the TM for Thunder Punch, and if you are playing Let's Go Pikachu, and your Pikachu happens to have an Attack boosting Nature, then Thunder Punch is a better option than Thunderbolt.
After beating the Fighting Dojo Master and all the Black Belts, they even changed the dialogue of one of the Black Belts from "Take your shoes off" to "Are you a challenger?" You can pick one out of two Fighting-type Pokémon.
Hitmonlee has higher Attack and Speed, and it will come with Brick Break and Jump Kick when obtained. Hitmonlee is the only Pokémon in this game to know Rolling Kick, Mega Kick and High Jump Kick. It learns Mega Kick at Level 40, and High Jump Kick at Level 45. As for TM moves, it can learn Poison Jab and Rock Slide for good coverage options. Depending on your preferred Fighting-type, Hitmonlee is a great option for those looking for a Fighting-type to add to your team.
The other option is Hitmonchan, which has less Attack and more Defense than Hitmonlee. The nice thing about Hitmonchan is that it will have all three of the Elemental Punches right when you obtain it. You can teach it Brick Break through TM, and you are set with Hitmonchan's moves. I would say Hitmonchan is a decent option, and that type coverage is nice so it isn't reliant on TMs to be useful. Whichever one you prefer, then you can go with it. If you don't have a way to trade, you can transfer over the other from Pokémon GO, say you picked Hitmonlee, you can get Hitmonchan from Pokémon GO over to the GO Park to fill up your Pokédex. Both are obtained at Level 30, so if you took on the Fighting Dojo earlier on, then the Fighting-type you get will be a solid option for that point in the game.
