This game was recorded on the Wii U Virtual Console, this is Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, which came out on the DS, while Red Rescue Team was on GBA. I did do the remake of this game, Rescue Team DX, around the time it came out, so I decided to go back to the original game. The main character awakens as a Pokémon and goes on their first adventure with their partner to rescue some Pokémon.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

I have decided to start a playthrough on Pokémon Mystery: Blue Rescue Team, which was available on the Wii U eShop, but as the eShop had already shut down last year, there is no way to get it on the Wii U. This is the fourth time I have ever done a playthrough or a walkthrough on Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, the first time was done on an emulator, which didn't go well and I only recorded up to six parts and it was back in 2010, it was back when you could only upload up to 10 minute videos on YouTube, I was Treecko in that one and went with Cyndaquil for the partner. The second time was done on the Game Boy Player for the GameCube, and I completed the main story, and in that one, I got Cyndaquil while I chose Bulbasaur for my partner. The third one was Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, the remake of that game where I did about everything, even the after-game, and I got Bulbasaur and went with Skitty for the partner. This is the fourth time I have started a playthrough on any of the Rescue Team games, this one is Blue Rescue Team for the DS.
The starters in this game are Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Meowth, Psyduck, Machop, Cubone, Eevee, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, and Skitty. You take on a personality test, and some Pokémon are locked to genders, the boy exclusive ones are Cyndaquil, Machop, and Meowth, while the girl exclusives are Chikorita, Eevee, and Skitty. Then for partners, it is a Grass-type, Fire-type, Water-type, or Pikachu, and if you get a Fire-type starter, you cannot pick a Fire-type for your partner. In this playthrough, I got Squirtle and I chose Treecko for my partner, I usually like picking the Water-type starter Pokémon whenever I play through the Rescue Team games, and I didn't want to play as Bulbasaur or Cyndaquil for the third time, and I wanted to give Treecko another go.
Then you wake up as a Pokémon and meet up with your partner, and then Butterfree shows up and tells you that her child Caterpie has fallen into a fissure and she was unable to fend off the wild Pokémon.
We start Tiny Woods, this is an easy dungeon as you find Pidgey, Sunkern, Wurmple, and Exeggcute for encounters, the only challenging opponent is Exeggcute which can use Hypnosis. Tiny Woods has 3 floors, and at the end is when you rescue Caterpie, and you get some rewards from Butterfree for completing it.
Then we get to our Rescue Team Base, and your default team name is Pokémon, you don't get random names like Courage, Efficiency, Seedlings, or any others like in Rescue Team DX, but I decided to use one of the random names from Rescue Team DX as the team name.
Because of how short Tiny Woods was, I decided to include Thunderwave Cave in this video as well, and that is where have to rescue two Magnemite that are stuck together. For Pokémon, you can find Poochyena, Rattata, Nidoran♀, Voltorb, Elekid, and either Plusle or Minun depending on the game, Plusle is in Red Rescue Team, and Minun is in Blue Rescue Team. The Pokémon aren't too bad, Poochyena and Rattata have Run Away, where they flee if their HP is below 50%, Nidoran♀ has Poison Point, which can inflict poison if you attack it, Voltorb and Elekid have Static to inflict paralysis.
After completing the dungeon, we get our rewards, and then we visit Pokémon Square, which I decided to include in this video because our main task is to visit Pelipper Post Office and get our requests. Pokémon Square has many places, the Kecleon Shop to buy items, Kangaskhan Storage to store items, Felicity Bank, which is run by Persian and is where you can store money, and Gulpin Link Shop is where you can link moves, and linked moves gives even more experience if you use then against opponents, and you can even relearn moves through there. You can also interact with some of the Pokémon in the town, like Lombre, Bellsprout, and Snubbull, they do give some helpful tips on where some places are, and north of Pokémon Square is Whiscash Pond, which is where Whiscash lives.
