Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Playthrough 73: Kyogre and the Aqua-Monica
The next dungeon we enter is Bottomless Sea, which is where the Aqua-Monica is located, and it is guarded by Kyogre, a Legendary Pokémon said to have expanded the sea. This dungeon has 50 floors, making it one long dungeon full of Water type Pokémon.
As the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description.
Most of the Pokémon encountered in Bottomless Sea are similar to those found in Surrounded Sea. The Pokémon encountered in this dungeon are Gyarados, Remoraid, Kingdra, Wailmer, Clamperl, Finneon, Tentacruel, Slowbro, Horsea, Seadra, Starmie, Slowking, Qwilfish, Octillery, Lapras and Wailord. Lapras can be found on floors 21 to 25, and Wailord can be found on floor 26. Monster Houses with Kingdra inside can be dangerous, as Kingdra can use Agility, so if you brought any Pokémon with Discharge, like Ampharos, Luxray or Zapdos, combined with Charge or Agility, it can destroy everything inside a Monster House.
Storm Drain is a very helpful Ability, so I went with Lumineon as it can prevent damage from Water type moves, and that both Gastrodon or Lumineon are decent choices to bring along, and as some of the Pokémon in that dungeon have Rain Dance, Lumineon also has Swift Swim, allowing it to attack twice on one turn.
The guardian of Bottomless Sea, Kyogre is at Level 49, and for moves, it can use Calm Mind, Ice Beam, Hydro Pump and AncientPower for its possible moves, and for level up moves, it can learn Sheer Cold, Aqua Tail and Water Spout. For TMs, Kyogre can learn Thunder, which can help along with its Drizzle Ability.
Kyogre's Exclusive Item, the Aqua Mantle is obtained in Deep Miracle Sea through a locked door, it increases Kyogre's Attack Speed by 1 while it is raining, and it goes well with Kyogre's Drizzle Ability. Any Pokémon that have Exclusive Items that boost Movement Speed or Evasion in rainy weather make great partners for Kyogre, as well as Pokémon with the Swift Swim Ability, like Ludicolo, Floatzel, Kingdra, Lumineon and a few others.
The Aqua-Monica is one of the seven treasures, guarded by Kyogre. It is said to increase the chances of recruiting Water type Pokémon.
