Time for a demo of an upcoming game, and this was announced in the Pokémon Direct back in January 9th 2020, this is Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, so this is a remake of the Red & Blue Rescue Team games from back in 2006, and what started the Mystery Dungeon series.
As for my thoughts, I am hugely excited about this, because the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series is my favourite Pokémon Spin-Off series, and to see the first games get remade and with better graphics, this is huge, and to hear some classic songs get remade, this does add a bit of nostalgia to those that have played Mystery Dungeon since the Rescue Team games, even though Explorers of Time, Darkness & Sky were the most popular games in the series, it's good to see the original games back again.
This game does have the same starters from the original game, so you have Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Meowth, Psyduck, Machop, Cubone, Eevee, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, and Skitty, the difference is that you can pick who you want to play as, like in Super Mystery Dungeon. The starters do come with great moves, as well as excellent coverage for early in the game, and you can carry over save data from the demo version into the full game. As for myself, I will not be carrying over stuff from the demo to the full game, and I want to use different starters in the full game itself.
They did confirm that Mega Evolution is in the game, and they did show Lucario in the trailer, but I don't know if they will add every Pokémon available as of now, since the original games was around Gen 3, and there were some Gen 4 Pokémon that were revealed at the time, like Munchlax, Bonsly, and a few others. I don't know if it will only be up to Gen 7, or maybe Gen 8, or just keep it up to Gen 3 and have a few Pokémon in Gen 4 onwards in the game.
Here are the starters and the moves they will have, I did get some ideas from different players who used different Pokémon, and some of them are very powerful early-game.
Bulbasaur: Vine Whip, Sludge, Tackle, Seed Bomb
Charmander: Scratch, Flame Burst, Bite, Dragon Rage
Squirtle: Brick Break, Water Gun, Tackle, Bite
