Here are the team of Pokémon in this video, which was decided by the random number generator.
P1 Team: Raticate, Weezing, Abra, Rhydon, Sandslash, Mr. Mime
CPU Team: Goldeen, Pikachu, Tentacool, Kingler, Electabuzz, Kakuna

Then, I will list the moves for each Pokémon in battle, starting with my team.
Raticate: Hyper Fang, Hyper Beam, Focus Energy, Thunder
Weezing: Sludge, Hyper Beam, Fire Blast, Selfdestruct
Abra: Psychic, Seismic Toss, Reflect, Thunder Wave
Rhydon: Dig, Strength, Thunder, Surf
Sandslash: Dig, Swift, Seismic Toss, Sand-Attack
Mr. Mime: Barrier, Psychic, Metronome, Seismic Toss

The CPU's team of Pokémon and moves.
Goldeen: Surf, Supersonic, Horn Drill, Blizzard
Pikachu: Thunderbolt, Slam, Thunder Wave, Seismic Toss
Tentacool: Surf, Supersonic, Mega Drain, Blizzard
Kingler: Crabhammer, Guillotine, Stomp, Substitute
Electabuzz: ThunderPunch, Mega Punch, Psychic, Thunder Wave
Kakuna: String Shot, Poison Sting

We have a good balance of Pokémon for this battle, I have two Ground-type Pokémon and two Psychic-type Pokémon, while the CPU has three Water-type Pokémon and two Electric-type Pokémon, so there is a lot of Pokémon of the same type throughout our teams.
I get Weezing for the lead, and the CPU has Goldeen, and it turned out Goldeen was faster and its Horn Drill can hit. I do have Sandslash and Rhydon to fight the Electric-type Pokémon, although Electabuzz does have Psychic to target their lower Special stat, and I have Abra's Thunder Wave and Psychic to help out in the battle.
For some reason, Kingler's Crabhammer seems to do a lot of damage, and this Pokémon doesn't have a good Special stat, it must be the high critical hit rate that it is about, Kingler is one of these Pokémon where it cannot make use of its type for attacking, as Water-type moves were Special back then.
I do have Mr. Mime as a backup Psychic-type, and it is better at fighting Tentacool due to its good Special stat for taking Surf and Blizzard. For some reason, anytime Kakuna or any early game Bug-type appears on the CPU team, the CPU tends to use them last, it could be due to how unreliable they are, and they like to make use of the other Pokémon in the battle.
