I have completed Round 1 on Pokémon Stadium, and it is now time for Round 2, and in this mode, the opponents are a lot harder, and this is where strategy will play a role, because it's not going to be the usual "use Surf against Onix", or any other type of advantage, opponents can even switch out Pokémon if they are at a disadvantage, and they can even use Pokémon of many different types. I have decided to use the Speedrun guide for Pokémon Stadium to find ways to get through the Gym Leader Castle in Round 2, because usually you will want to use your own Pokémon from the Transfer Pak, but you cannot in the Nintendo Switch Online version of the game.
The team that I selected for the Pewter Gym is Alakazam, Starmie, Jynx, Vaporeon, Articuno, and Moltres, as those can help against the Trainers in the Gym Tower.
I will list each Trainers, and the nicknames of the Pokémon, with the species name of the Pokémon in brackets.
Battle 1: Bug Boy
Pary (Paras): SolarBeam, Reflect, Growth, Dig
Rattaty (Rattata): Quick Attack, Hyper Fang, Super Fang, Dig
Speary (Spearow): Fly, Take Down, Mirror Move, Swift
Pidgeoty (Pidgeotto): Agility, Sky Attack, Double-Edge, Sand-Attack
Beedry (Beedrill): Pin Missile, Fury Attack, Hyper Beam, Twineedle
Buttery (Butterfree): Stun Spore, Mega Drain, Psychic, Supersonic

Battle 2: Lad
Ivysaury (Ivysaur): Mega Drain, PoisonPowder, Vine Whip, Leech Seed
Arboy (Arbok): Mega Drain, Glare, Acid
Zubaty (Zubat): Leech Life, Confuse Ray, Mega Drain
Gloomy (Gloom): Absorb, Stun Spore, Mega Drain
Cutey (Exeggcute): Leech Seed, Toxic, Psychic
Naty (Venonat): Leech Life, Mega Drain, Stun Spore, Supersonic

Battle 3: Jr.♂
Fetchant (Farfetch'd): Slash, Sand-Attack, Fly, Toxic
Digster (Diglett): Rock Slide, Slash, Earthquake, Dig
Pidgester (Pidgeot): Wing Attack, Quick Attack, Mirror Move, Sand-Attack
Topsant (Kabutops): Hydro Pump, Slash, Ice Beam, Surf
Shrant (Sandshrew): Swords Dance, Earthquake, Sand-Attack, Strength
Gravster (Graveler): Earthquake, Bide, Explosion, Rock Slide

Battle 4: Brock
Onix: Bind, Rock Slide, Screech, Earthquake
Golem: Rock Slide, Seismic Toss, Dig, Explosion
Dugtrio: Dig, Slash, Rock Slide, Sand-Attack
Ninetales: Fire Spin, Flamethrower, Confuse Ray, Bide
Omastar: Double-Edge, Ice Beam, Surf, Toxic
Golbat: Bide, Confuse Ray, Wing Attack, Take Down

The Pewter Gym Trainers aren't that hard in Round 2, that is if you picked the correct counters, Bug Boy uses some early-game Pokémon, not much to watch out for, Lad has Pokémon that can inflict status conditions and draining moves like Leech Life and Mega Drain, Jr.♂ has five Pokémon all weak to Ice, with the exception of Kabutops, but they do have some powerful moves, like Explosion on Graveler, and some of them have Sand-Attack. Brock is an even challenging opponent compared to Round 1, he has Ninetales and Golbat to round out his team, his Onix has Screech to weaken your Defense by two stages, Golem has Explosion, and Dugtrio has Slash to get in critical hits because of its high Speed stat, and Omastar has Ice Beam to counter Grass-type Pokémon, these battles do show that opponents are even more harder in Round 2.
