This week, I will be trading Vullaby on Surprise Trade, and what I usually do is breed 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, and I went with Impish for the Nature, it can work with Bold or Calm, any Nature that boosts Defense or Special Defense that lowers Attack and Special Attack, as the Vullaby line tend to be defensive. I went with Overcoat for the Ability, I didn't want to go with the Hidden Ability of Weak Armor, because that is not an Ability you want on Vullaby or its evolved form Mandibuzz.
Vullaby only learns three Egg Moves, those being Mean Look, Roost, and Toxic, I will list which parents in the Flying Egg Group that can learn those moves.
Mean Look: Zubat, Golbat, Crobat
Roost: Hoothoot, Noctowl, Wingull, Pelipper, Pidove, Tranquill, Unfezant, Fletchling, Fletchinder, Talonflame, Hawlucha, Noibat, Noivern
Toxic: Crobat

The Zubat line were not in the base game, and before the update, Vullaby could only get Mean Look through Chain Breeding with Hawlucha, and you had to breed Hawlucha with a Sableye that knows Mean Look in order to get Mean Look on Hawlucha, and as with Toxic, Vullaby's evolved form Mandibuzz can learn that as a level up move.
Going over Vullaby's level up moves, it can learn Gust, Leer, Flatter, Pluck, Tailwind, Knock Off, Iron Defense, Whirlwind, Air Slash, Dark Pulse, Nasty Plot, Defog, Attract, and Brave Bird. It evolves into Mandibuzz at Level 54, which is really late, and that makes Vullaby very hard to use when going through the game, and Mandibuzz isn't much of a damage dealer in battle. It can learn Bone Rush upon evolution, and it learns Sky Attack and Toxic.
Next are TMs and TRs, and I will be going over what Mandibuzz can learn, as there are some Vullaby cannot learn. For TMs, it can learn Fly, Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Thief, Scary Face, Steel Wing, Fake Tears, Rock Tomb, U-turn, Payback, Assurance, Retaliate, and Snarl, and for TRs, it can learn Substitute, Shadow Ball, and Heat Wave for possible moves, not that many moves it can learn through TRs, and it can learn Dual Wingbeat and Lash Out for Tutor moves.
As with online battles, Mandibuzz is usually more of a defensive Pokémon, and it does see a good amount of use in the competitive scene, as it is one of many Pokémon that can learn Defog, and it has access to moves like Toxic, Roost, and Knock Off, so it has the moves to work in battle. Mandibuzz can make use of some good status moves like Taunt, Iron Defense, and Whirlwind, and it can use Foul Play to use the target's Attack stat to its advantage, and it can use Snarl to reduce the opponent's Special Attack stat, but that is usually used in Double Battles, in Single Battles, Mandibuzz would use Toxic on its opponent, and Roost to heal, and the held item is Leftovers, some sets use Rocky Helmet, Kee Berry, or Maranga Berry to work with its defensive stats.
Mandibuzz is a decent Pokémon in Double Battles, it can use Tailwind to support its allies, even though it is outclassed by Whimsicott and Tornadus for setting up Tailwind. It does get access to moves line Taunt and Snarl, which can help out in battle, and it can use Foul Play as an attacking move if it needs to use one. Overcoat is the preferred Ability so that it is not affected by weather effects and powder moves, this does make it a good Pokémon to add to teams that use Tyranitar or Abomasnow, or any Pokémon that have Sand Stream or Snow Warning, and its immunity to powder moves does protect it from Pokémon that know Sleep Powder, like Venusaur, and Pokémon with Spore, like Amoonguss.
As with the main game, not worth using, just use Corviknight if you want to use a defensive Flying-type Pokémon when playing through the game. I do remember the Level 25 Mandibuzz back in Pokémon Black 2 & White 2, it was Black 2 that you can get Mandibuzz, but it wasn't that great, while it was good you can get a Mandibuzz that early on in the game, Weak Armor is not that good of an Ability, and Mandibuzz doesn't have the attacking stats to be usable. This was a Pokémon that back in the days of Black & White, I remember there were players that weren't even aware of Vullaby or Mandibuzz's existence, because in Pokémon White, there was no way to see one for your Pokédex, as there was no Trainer that used one, and it was exclusive to Black, because unlike with its counterpart Braviary, there was one Trainer that used a Braviary in Pokémon Black & White, so it was possible to see one in Pokémon Black.
