This week, I will be trading Clauncher through Surprise Trade, and I usually breed for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats. Clauncher's only Ability is Mega Launcher, which is a really cool Ability, as that boosts the power of its Aura and Pulse moves by 50%, I went with Modest for the Nature, as Clauncher and its evolved form Clawitzer have a higher Special Attack stat, the rest of its stats are kind of average, with its Speed being quite low.
Clauncher only learns three Egg Moves, it can get Aqua Tail, Bubble Beam, and Entrainment, I will list which parents in the Water 1 and Water 3 Egg Groups that can learn those moves.
Aqua Tail: Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, Psyduck, Golduck, Dratini, Dragonair, Dragonite, Marill, Azumarill, Wooper, Quagsire, Milotic, Relicanth, Tirtouga, Carracosta, Skrelp, Dragalge
Bubble Beam: Poliwag, Poliwhirl, Poliwrath, Tentacool, Tentacruel, Krabby, Kingler, Horsea, Seadra, Marill, Azumarill, Politoed, Corsola, Remoraid, Octillery, Kingdra, Lotad, Lombre, Ludicolo, Corphish, Crawdaunt, Tympole, Palpitoad, Seismitoad, Popplio, Brionne, Primarina, Dewpider, Araquanid, Pincurchin
Entrainment: Dewpider, Araquanid

Only three Egg Moves, and those are some decent moves Clauncher can get, and it does have Water Gun as a starting move, its other is Splash, but Water Gun is better to have.
Going over Clauncher's level up moves, it can get Vise Grip, Flail, Aqua Jet, Smack Down, Hone Claws, Water Pulse, Swords Dance, Aura Sphere, Bounce, Muddy Water, and Crabhammer, it evolves into Clawitzer at Level 37, and it can relearn Dark Pulse, Dragon Pulse, and Heal Pulse when it is evolved.
Then for TMs and TRs, I will be going over what Clawitzer can learn, it can get Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Rock Slide, Icy Wind, Dive, U-turn, Venoshock, and Helping Hand for possible moves, and for TRs, it can learn Surf, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Sludge Bomb, Shadow Ball, Flash Cannon, Focus Blast, Sludge Wave, Scald, and Liquidation, and it can learn Flip Turn and Terrain Pulse through Move Tutor.
While Clawitzer does have a high Special Attack stat and a unique Ability in Mega Launcher, its low Speed stat is kind of a drawback to it. Clawitzer's standard set is Water Pulse, which benefits from Mega Launcher and does more damage than Surf, Dark Pulse and Aura Sphere are other good moves to make the best use of Mega Launcher, and Ice Beam to allow it to deal super effective damage against Grass-type Pokémon. Clawitzer can even go with Terrain Pulse if it is teamed up with a Pokémon that can set up terrain, like Indeedee or Rillaboom, but I find that Terrain Pulse on Clawitzer is better in Double Battles.
A good option in Double Battles is Heal Pulse, but that is better used on Indeedee than on Clawitzer, and it faces competition with many better Water-type Pokémon, and with Kyogre in the top usage charts in the current format where two restricted Legendary Pokémon are allowed per team, it's not easy fitting Clawitzer on a team.
I have tried out Clawitzer in a terrain themed team, and I did put it to good use, because I did like how Terrain Pulse was like Weather Ball, but for terrain, and with the right teammates, Clawitzer can make use of the terrain to deal with its opponents. While it was outclassed by Mega Blastoise in Generations 6 and 7, because Mega Blastoise had better defensive stats and its Special Attack stat was higher, it was the better pick for a Water-type with Mega Launcher, Clawitzer is more of a lower-tier Pokémon, and while its stats aren't too high, it can use its high Special Attack and Mega Launcher to good use.
