Before starting the Surprise Trade, I show that from May 29th till June 4th, you can get two Mystery Gift distributions online, first is a Galarian Ponyta with its Hidden Ability, while good for collectors, Anticipation is not that great of an Ability, because Pastel Veil is already the best Ability for Ponyta. There is also a bunch of Poké Balls you can get, this set has the Level Ball, Friend Ball, Fast Ball, Love Ball, and Beast Ball.
With the Mystery Gift out of the way, I will be trading Sizzlipede for this week's Surprise Trades, and as usual, I breed for at least 4-5 pefect IVs (Individual Values), and some Egg Moves, and these Sizzlipede have an Adamant Nature, as Sizzlipede's best stat is Attack, and because I bred to get these Sizzlipede, they cannot Gigantamax when evolved into Centiskorch.
Sizzlipede's Abilities are Flash Fire and White Smoke, out of the two, Flash Fire is more preferred, White Smoke is not bad for Double Battles, and Flame Body is its Hidden Ability, while not the best for competitive battling, I have heard about Centiskorch being one of few Pokémon that can get Flame Body in this game, and that allows you to hatch Eggs quicker than usual.
Now onto Sizzlipede's Egg Moves, it can get Defense Curl, Rollout, Knock Off, and Struggle Bug, I will list which parents from the Bug Egg Group that can learn those moves.
Defense Curl: Wimpod, Golisopod
Knock Off: Skorupi, Drapion
Rollout: Shuckle
Struggle Bug: Shuckle, Combee, Shelmet, Accelgor, Cutiefly, Ribombee, Wimpod, Golisopod, Blipbug, Dottler, Orbeetle, Snom, Frosmoth

While not the best Egg Moves that Sizzlipede can get, Knock Off is at least a good move to have. As for its level up moves, Sizzlipede and its evolved form Centiskorch can get Ember, Smokescreen, Wrap, Bite, Flame Wheel, Coil, Bug Bite, Crunch, Fire Lash, Lunge, and Burn Up, and as a Centiskorch, it can get Inferno.
Centiskorch does get some nice TM and TR moves, for TMs, it can get Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Sunny Day, Will-O-Wisp, Brutal Swing, and a few others, Centiskorch does not have a bad Special Attack stat, so it can at least get some use from Venoshock, Solar Beam, and Mystical Fire, but Physical attacks are more preferred when using it. It does get some nice TR moves, like Leech Life, Flare Blitz, Power Whip, X-Scissor, Heat Crash, Scald, Bug Buzz, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Heat Wave, Overheat, and a few others, so those are some good moves it can get.
As for the competitive scene, while Volcarona did have some success despite its crippling weakness to Rock, Centiskorch isn't on that level, but it is one of the few Pokémon that can make use of the Heavy-Duty Boots item that prevents it from being affected by entry hazards. Fire Lash is the most important move for Cenitskorch, as it gives STAB and lowers the targets Defense after dealing damage. Leech Life or Lunge fill in for a Bug-type move, and Cenitskorch does get some good coverage options, like Power Whip for dealing with Water and Rock-type Pokémon, Coil to boost its Attack, Defense, and Accuracy, so that does at least help with the Accuracy for Power Whip. Even though I bred for these Sizzlipede, a Pokémon cannot inherit the ability to Gigantamax through breeding, so you have to fight a Gigantamax Centiskorch through the Max Raid Battles, and its Fire-type moves become G-Max Centiferno, which is basically a more powerful Fire Spin, and if equipped with a Grip Claw , this will ensure that the effects of Fire Spin last for 5 turns, or a Binding Band to increase the damage from the effects of Fire Spin by 1/6 instead of 1/8 the damage.
While Centiskorch isn't the most used Pokémon in Double Battles, having Leech Life, Power Whip, and Fire Lash are good moves for attack options. The downside is Centiskorch's below average Speed, and base 65 isn't the best for Trick Room, so there are better options for both Fire and Bug-type Pokémon, like Arcanine, Incineroar, and Charizard for Fire-types, and Durant for Bug-types, and Charizard's G-Max Wildfire outclasses Centiskorch's G-Max Centiferno in terms of Fire-type Gigantamax moves.
While it is not the best Pokémon in the competitive scene, Centiskorch is at least a decent Pokémon, it isn't on the same terms of power as Volcarona in previous games, because Volcarona was more of a Pokémon that depended on prediction, while it can sweep teams with Quiver Dance, Bug Buzz, and Fire Blast, the downside is that Stealth Rock can easily cripple Volcarona. With Centiskorch, it's a good thing they introduced the Heavy-Duty Boots in this game, and they did confirm in the upcoming DLC for this game that Volcarona will return, and I can see how well it would perform with the Heavy-Duty Boots.
