There was one thing I didn't realize when starting the Surprise Trades, and there was a new Cap Pikachu event happening, it is the Sinnoh Cap Pikachu. I did remember it after all, and usually I start the video with an event, but I then remembered it after many trades later.
Then for the Pokémon that I will be trading for this week, it is the Bug/Steel-type Durant, one of my favourite Bug-type Pokémon introduced in Gen 5. I couldn't bother going for Truant, while it is popular on Durant for Battle Tower, Truant is not what you want for online battles, Hustle is the best it can go.
I breed for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, or if I get lucky, 6 stats, and these Durant have a Jolly Nature and some good Egg Moves. It can get First Impression, Flail, Metal Burst, and Infestation, it does get Struggle Bug as well, I will list which parents from the Bug Egg Group that can learn those moves.
First Impression: Golisopod
Flail: Dwebble, Crustle, Karrablast, Escavalier
Infestation: Dewpider, Araquanid, Frosmoth
Metal Burst: Escavalier
Struggle Bug: Shuckle, Combee, Shelmet, Accelgor, Larvesta, Volcarona, Cutiefly, Ribombee, Wimpod, Golisopod, Blipbug, Dottler, Orbeetle, Snom, Frosmoth

It learns a good selection of Egg Moves, and First Impression is a very powerful move on Durant with Hustle. While it doesn't evolve, it has good Attack, Defense, and Speed, but very low Special stats.
For level up moves, Durant can learn Metal Claw, Beat Up, Bug Bite, Agility, Dig, X-Scissor, Crunch, Iron Head, Entrainment, Iron Defense, and Guillotine.
Next is Durant's TM and TR moves, for TMs, it can learn Thunder Wave, Screech, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Shadow Claw, Thunder Fang, Stomping Tantrum, and a few other moves, and for TRs, it can learn Baton Pass, Superpower, and Stone Edge for good moves, while it can get Energy Ball and Flash Cannon, Durant should never be using any Special Attacks. It does get Skitter Smack for a Tutor move.
In online battles, what makes Durant that good of a Dynamax option is Hustle, which boosts Attack by 50%, but lowers Accuracy by 80%, but when Dynamaxed, Durant can get the extra Attack power, but ignore Accuracy drops. As Durant is one of few Bug-type Pokémon to learn First Impression, that can hurt for a lot of damage, and it will always hit first, specially if Durant is holding a Life Orb. Starting with Single Battles, Durant has a wide Physical movepool, as it can use Iron Head, Thunder Fang, Superpower, Stone Edge, Stomping Tantrum, and a few other moves. While Scizor is the preferred Bug/Steel-type for its Technician and access to Bullet Punch, Durant has higher Speed than Scizor, and the benefit to Dynamax can give Durant some powerful boosts, Iron Head and Superpower are nice for the Defense boost from Max Steelspike, and the Attack boost from Max Knuckle. Stomping Tantrum on Durant is nice to have, as the 80% Accuracy loss from Hustle can double Stomping Tantrum's power if Durant misses on the previous turn. Durant cannot learn Hone Claws in this game, so it has to be transferred from a previous game in order to have Hone Claws.
Durant has seen notable success in VGC Tournaments in this generation, and it is a powerful Pokémon in Double Battles. While it has the same strategy of having Hustle and being one of few Pokémon to be a powerful Dynamax user, Durant can use some good moves, like Iron Head, Thunder Fang, Stomping Tantrum, X-Scissor, Rock Slide, and a few other moves. Hustle is a great Ability on any Pokémon that can make use of Dynamax, and Durant is one of these Pokémon that puts Dynamax to great use, the other being Dracozolt. While there are some other Pokémon that get that Ability, Togekiss should never be using any Physical Attacks, Flapple is held back by its 4x weakness to Ice, and Delibird should never be used at all.
If you are wondering about Truant, don't even bother using a Durant with Truant, because it is a terrible Ability, it's the reason why Slaking, a Pokémon with stats that rival Legendary Pokémon, is a low tier Pokémon. The only reason why Truant should be considered on Durant is for the Battle Tower, because Durant can use Entrainment to give its opponent Truant, because I remember that infamous strategy where one player managed to get over 200 consecutive wins in the Battle Tree from Sun & Moon with a Durant with Truant, a Speed Boost Scolipede with Swords Dance, Substitute, and Baton Pass, and a Mega Kangaskhan with Double-Edge, Drain Punch, Sucker Punch, and Earthquake, and that team gave that player 200 wins in the Battle Tree, and he even attempted that in Restricted Sparring for Bug-types to get over 20 wins, instead of Mega Kangaskhan, it was a Scizor which would Dynamax to sweep the opponent's entire team.
As for my opinion on Durant, it is one of my favourite Gen 5 Pokémon, and Gen 5 introduced most of my favourite Pokémon, and I like how Durant is viable thanks to Hustle and Dynamax.
