I have added the new additions from the Crown Tundra update to my list, and out of all the Pokémon for this week, it had to be Wobbuffet. While this Pokémon is really popular in the Anime, it isn't anything special in the games, because all it can do is counterattack.
I usually breed for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, but in Wobbuffet's case, the only stats it needs are HP, Defense, and Special Defense, because Wobbuffet is never going to be attacking first, or even attacking at all, and while it has a high HP stat, the rest of its stats are kind of below average, so the best strategy with using one is to predict an attack, and if Wobbuffet survives, it can counterattack for huge damage.
I went with Bold for the Nature, but then again Calm, Impish, Careful, Relaxed, or Sassy can work as well, because like I already went through, Wobbuffet does not need Attack or Special Attack, or even Speed.
I didn't want to go through the trouble of breeding Wynaut with the Lax Incense, so I decided to go with Wobbuffet, so that way you can use both the Everstone and Destiny Knot to breed the Nature and IVs you want, because if you are breeding for Wynaut, you have to give up an item slot to give the Lax Incense to Wobbuffet.
There is no point going over Egg Moves, Level up moves, or even TMs and TRs, Wobbuffet's movepool is very limited, Counter and Mirror Coat are all it can do for damage, Destiny Bond for taking down an opponent with it, and the only other moves it can get are Safeguard, Encore, Splash, Charm, and Amnesia, even Pyukumuku has a wider movepool than Wobbuffet, and that thing can't even learn any offensive moves.
Despite Wobbuffet's limited movepool, it has had a very infamous competitive history, that thing got banned to Ubers in Gen 3, I think it was because it got Shadow Tag in Gen 3, and it was a good user of the Leftovers, and if two Wobbuffet were put up against each other, the Leftovers would heal off the Struggle damage, so it would turn into an endless fight that would never end.
While it was the original Shadow Tag user, you are better off using Gothitelle instead, but the one thing I could go over is that Wobbuffet is a good user of the Custap Berry, if Wobbuffet's HP is low, you can use Destiny Bond, and the Custap Berry will ensure Wobbuffet goes first, and it can take down the opponent with it, but then again the Custap Berry is better on Pokémon with Sturdy, like Gigalith or Steelix, where they can go first, as long as the opponent isn't using a priority move. Another good user of the Custap Berry is Aggron, because with Sturdy, you can try to survive a powerful attack and use Metal Burst to take out one of their Pokémon, and with the Custap Berry, you can set up Stealth Rock or use Endeavor so the next Pokémon can take out the opponent's next Pokémon.
Wobbuffet was the first non-Legendary Pokémon to ever be banned to Ubers, and its pre-evolved form Wynaut was even banned as well, possibly for the same reasons.
I will even list non-Legendary Pokémon that were banned, Garchomp was banned in Gen 4, and later in the generation, Salamence was banned as well. In Gen 5, Blaziken got banned because of Speed Boost, and for a while, Excadrill was banned because of how broken it was with its Sand Rush Ability. In Gen 6, Greninja and Aegislash were banned, and they did ban a few Mega Evolved Pokémon, even though most of them are about as powerful as Legendary Pokémon, some examples of Mega Evolved Pokémon were Gengar, Kangaskhan, Mawile, Lucario, and Salamence. If Ultra Beasts are considered Legendary Pokémon, even though they aren't really, Pheromosa and Naganadel were banned in Gen 7, and right now in Gen 8, Galarian Darmanitan and Dracovish are currently in the Uber tier, the competitive scene has gone through so much with how many bans we have been getting.
Wobbuffet is even one of the worst Pokémon to have as an AI Partner in the Max Raid Battles, I would say that thing is even worse than the infamous Solrock, and I feel that even the Magikarp is more useful than Wobbuffet. My list of Pokémon for Surprise Trade did have every Pokémon that is available that is not a Legendary Pokémon, but mainly Pokémon that you can breed, but unfortunately for this week, Wobbuffet had to be the one, I can only wonder if ever I will have to do Surprise Trade for Magikarp, because I randomize my list every week, and the first Pokémon on that list is the one I choose for Surprise Trade, although I do want to trade Beldum at some point, so there could be a time where I choose the Pokémon for Surprise Trade, and Beldum ends up being that Pokémon.
