Pokémon HOME has released on the eShop, so if you see any Kanto or Alola Starters in Surprise Trade, this is the reason behind it, or if you get Alolan Vulpix or Kantonian Ponyta, that is why.
Now for the Surprise Trade, and here I will be trading Galarian Ponyta, the Pokémon that represents My Little Pony in every way, they have 4-5 perfect IVs (Individual Values), but there are rare cases where some Pokémon that I trade can have 6 perfect IVs, or flawless as some people call it. These Ponyta have a Jolly Nature, as this is the ideal Nature, as Ponyta's best stats are Attack and Speed, and for Egg Moves, they have Hypnosis, Horn Drill, Morning Sun, and Double Kick. Ponyta can also get Thrash and Double-Edge as Egg Moves, and both the Kantonian and Galarian Ponyta learn the same Egg Moves. I will list which parent from the Field Egg Group can learn those moves through level up.
Double Kick: Jolteon, Bunnelby, Diggersby, Litten, Torracat, Incineroar, Mudbray, Mudsdale, Scorbunny, Raboot, Cinderace, Wooloo, Dubwool
Double-Edge: Eevee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Zigzagoon, G-Zigzagoon, Linoone, G-Linoone, Hippopotas, Hippowdon, Leafeon, Glaceon, Sylveon, Stufful, Bewear, Passimian, Scorbunny, Raboot, Cinderace, Wooloo, Dubwool, Obstagoon
Horn Drill: Rhyhorn, Rhydon, Rhyperior, Excadrill
Hypnosis: Munna, Musharna
Morning Sun: Espeon
Thrash: G-Meowth, Swinub, Piloswine, Darumaka, G-Darumaka, Darmanitan, G-Darmanitan, Cubchoo, Beartic, Litten, Torracat, Incineroar, Stufful, Bewear, Passimian, Perrserker, Morpeko

As for stats, there is not much different between the two forms of Ponyta or its evolved Rapidash in terms of stats, it is a speedy Physical attacker. Galarian Ponyta's Abilities are Run Away and Pastel Veil, and its Hidden Ability is Anticipation. Pastel Veil is the Ability you will want, as that prevents Ponyta and its teammates from being poisoned, so this is a good Ability to have. For the Kantonian Ponyta, it can get Run Away and Flash Fire, and Flame Body is its Hidden Ability, Flash Fire is the preferred Ability.
Unfortunately for Galarian Ponyta, most of its level up moves are Special, like Psybeam and Dazzling Gleam, and it can get Stomp for a good Physical move, and when it evolves into Galarian Rapidash, it will learn Psycho Cut upon evolution, and you can reteach Megahorn.
On the Kantonian side, Rapidash will learn Smart Strike upon evolution, and it does get Flame Wheel and Flame Charge as level up moves, and it will not be until Level 63 that Rapidash will learn Flare Blitz, unless you keep it as a Ponyta until Level 55.
Now for the TM and TR movepool, and starting with Galarian Rapidash, through TMs, it can get Charm, Bounce, and Mystical Fire, and for TRs, it can get some nice moves, like Zen Headbutt, Play Rough, Low Kick, Wild Charge, High Horsepower, Swords Dance, Drill Run, and Throat Chop. And on the Kantonian side, Rapidash can get Solar Blade, Will-O-Wisp, and Bounce, and for TRs, it can get Swords Dance, Iron Tail, High Horsepower, Wild Charge, Poison Jab, Low Kick, Drill Run, and Throat Chop.
Rapidash isn't a top tier Pokémon in the competitive scene, while it does have good Attack and Speed, it is outclassed by many other Psychic and Fairy-type Pokémon, like Clefable, Hatterene, Gardevoir, Mimikyu, Sylveon, and a few others, but Galarian Rapidash can be a good Pokémon to try out in battle if you don't mind using underused Pokémon in online battles.
Kantonian Rapidash isn't much different, it is outclassed by Cinderace as a Physical Fire-type attacker, but it does get some good moves like Flare Blitz, Megahorn, Poison Jab, Wild Charge, and High Horsepower, so it can be nice to use, while Galarian Rapidash can get Zen Headbutt and Play Rough for good STAB options, and Swords Dance to boost its Attack so it can sweep foes, and High Horsepower for a good coverage option.
Galarian Rapidash does have a nice design, and the Psychic/Fairy-type is a nice type combo, and at least it is a Physical attacker, while Gardevoir and Hatterene are Special attackers. In Double Battles, Imprison and Trick Room is a nice combo, as that will prevent the opponents from using Trick Room, so if they have a team of slow Pokémon, like Hatterene, Torkoal, Copperajah, and a few others, you can have Rapidash use Imprison so that will prevent Hatterene from using Trick Room, which is great if you have the top 5 Pokémon in Double Battles, like Arcanine, Dragapult, and a few others.
