It is time for a very infamous Pokémon to Gold & Silver players, that Pokémon is Miltank, this Normal-type Pokémon was the signature Pokémon of a certain Gym Leader in Gold & Silver, and it was known for using the move Rollout. This Pokémon is also said to be the counterpart to Tauros, although it's not confirmed if they really are counterparts.
When breeding, I go for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, and I went with a Jolly Nature for Miltank, as this Pokémon has a fairly good Speed stat, Defense being its highest, and it a decent Attack stat, although Impish wouldn't be that bad of a Nature to have as well. Most of them have Thick Fat or Scrappy, because out of Miltank's possible Abilities, Scrappy is the best one to go with, even is Sap Sipper is decent enough, Miltank isn't used as an attacker, it's meant to be a defensive Pokémon, although it is outclassed by Chansey as a defensive Normal-type.
For Egg Moves, I went with Double-Edge, Curse, Seismic Toss, and Focus Punch, it can also get Belch, Hammer Arm, and Present, but these three moves aren't worth having, well Hammer Arm is decent, but Focus Punch is more preferred as an Egg Move, I will list which parents in the Field Egg Group that can learn those moves.
Belch: Stunky, Skuntank, Skwovet, Greedent
Curse: Torkoal
Double-Edge: Tauros, Eevee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Dunsparce, Zigzagoon, G-Zigzagoon, Linoone, G-Linoone, Hippopotas, Hippowdon, Leafeon, Glaceon, Sylveon, Stufful, Bewear, Passimian, Scorbunny, Raboot, Cinderace, Wooloo, Dubwool, Obstagoon
Hammer Arm: Rhydon, Rhyperior, Darmanitan, Diggersby, Pangoro, Stufful, Bewear
Focus Punch: Scraggy, Scrafty
Present: Delibird
Seismic Toss: Mawile, Pancham, Pangoro, Passimian (Requires Chain Breeding)

Seismic Toss was really hard to get on Miltank, because I had Seismic Toss from a Machamp onto Pancham till I got a male Pancham, and then breed it with Miltank to get Seismic Toss.
As Miltank is a Pokémon that does not evolve, it has very solid stats for being a Pokémon without any evolution forms, and while Tackle is one of its starting moves, it can get Rollout, Defense Curl, Stomp, Heal Bell, Hedbutt, Zen Headbutt, Milk Drink, Body Slam, Play Rough, Charm, and High Horsepower for level up moves.
Miltank has a wide TM and TR movepool, for TMs, it can learn the Elemental Punches, Mega Punch, Mega Kick, Thunder Wave, Rock Slide, Icy Wind, Attract, Whirlpool, Facade, Helping Hand, Brick Break, Rock Tomb, Retaliate, Bulldoze, and Stomping Tantrum. For TRs, it can learn Surf, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Blizzard, Thunder, Earthquake, Reversal, Metronome, Iron Tail, Shadow Ball, Gyro Ball, Focus Blast, Zen Headbutt, Stealth Rock, Iron Head, Heavy Slam, Work Up, and Body Press, and it can learn Steel Roller as a Tutor move. I don't recommend giving any Special moves, like Ice Beam, Surf, or Thunderbolt to Miltank, as it has very low Special Attack.
This Pokémon was really good in Gen 2 competitive battling, while Snorlax was the best Pokémon back in the day, Miltank was at least a solid Pokémon. With better Pokémon out there, and having to face competition with Chansey and Blissey as a Normal-type with reliable healing, Miltank isn't what it once was.
Miltank is the only Pokémon available in this game to learn Milk Drink, which gave it a reliable healing move, and the reason why Scrappy is a better Ability on Miltank is so it can damage Ghost-type Pokémon with Normal and Fighting-type moves, so Body Slam or Seismic Toss are the only damaging moves it needs, while Milk Drink and Thunder Wave fill in the rest of its moves, Stealth Rock is good for 6v6 battles, and Heal Bell is a nice move for healing status conditions from the rest of the team. Miltank can even use a Flame Orb, along with Facade to get in some good damage, and it can use Fling to burn the opponent with its Flame Orb.
While it is outclassed by better Pokémon in Single Battles, Miltank isn't worth using in Double Battles, because even though it does a reliable healing move, Comfey is a more better option, because Comfey learns a lot of healing moves, and it can use Floral Healing to heal its teammate, and there are already a good amount of Pokémon that can learn Heal Pulse that are common in Double Battles, like Indeedee, Tapu Fini, Clefairy, and a few others, and for Pokémon that can heal themselves, there is Porygon2 and Gastrodon with Recover, and Comfey can even learn Synthesis, and these options do outclass Miltank in Double Battles.
While Normal is not a bad type, the downside is not having any true resistances other than an immunity to Ghost, and the Normal-type not being super effective against anything, with Rock and Steel resisting Normal, although Miltank with Scrappy can damage Ghost-type Pokémon with its Normal-type moves, it is a decent Pokémon at least, but not enough to stand up to better Pokémon that outclass it.
