After a shocking turn of events thanks to a certain Psychic-type user, it is time to head off to Ballonlea, but first off, Glimwood Tangle is home to a bunch of Fairy-type Pokémon, and while the forest is dark, the mushrooms do light up, making it easier to navigate through.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Glimwood Tangle doesn't have many Trainers, and it is quite short, but there are a lot of new encounters there.
Now is the right time to go over Impidimp, because if you interact with some mushrooms, you can encounter Impidimp, but you can also find its evolved form Morgrem as a wild encounter. I recommend getting one with Prankster, and Morgrem is a decent mixed attacker, as it can use Dark Pulse for good damage, and it can learn a move called False Surrender, which is a stronger Feint Attack where it will always hit. When fully evolved, it will have high Attack, and the reason why I recommend Prankster is that it can learn Bulk Up, and with Prankster it can easily set up and sweep, its Speed isn't too great. I would recommend catching it as a Morgrem, so that way it is ready to battle.
Another interesting encounter is Sinistea, it is a Ghost-type that can be evolved into Polteageist with either a Cracked Pot or Chipped Pot depending on its form, it is easier to see if the Sinistea is Dynamaxed. Polteageist has really good Special Attack, and it can use Nasty Plot, Will-O-Wisp and Hex to get in some good damage, and it is one of few Shell Smash users in the game. It's not a bad option, but Polteageist is decent.
Then we have Shiinotic, a Pokémon that I really like, but I feel does not get any attention. It is a slow Grass/Fairy-type with good defensive stats and Special Attack, and is the only Spore user available in this game. It is also one of few Pokémon to get Strength Sap, which used to be Shiinotic's signature move in Sun & Moon, it's a decent Pokémon, but there are better options.
Now onto something that you need to trade to evolve, and that is Phantump. When caught, Phantump will have Horn Leech right away, and will learn Shadow Claw when it is evolved. With a good Attack stat, Trevenant has a diverse movepool, it can get Wood Hammer and Phantom Force as level up moves, as well as good TR moves, like X-Scissor, Earthquake, and Poison Jab. If you have a way to trade, Trevenant is a good Pokémon to add to your team.
Next is Galarian Audino, which is really a Pokémon called Indeedee, it is a Psychic/Normal-type, and the unique thing about Indeedee is that male Indeedee are only in Sword, while female Indeedee are in Shield. Males are more offensive, while the females are more defensive, so it is like a mix between Meowstic and Audino. It's a decent Pokémon, but there are better options out there.
Speaking of version exclusives, you can get Passimian in Sword, and Oranguru in Shield. Starting with Passimian, it has a really good Attack stat and will have Bulk Up when caught at Level 35 and can be taught Revenge through TM. Passimian can get Close Combat through level up, and it can learn a good variety of TMs and TRs, like U-turn, Payback, Bulldoze, Seed Bomb, Iron Head, Gunk Shot, and many others. If you are lacking a Fighting-type, Passimian is a good Pokémon to consider for your team.
Oranguru isn't a Pokémon you would use for single player, as its signature move Instruct makes the target repeat the last move used. I don't recommend Oranguru, it's not the worst Pokémon, it is more of a Pokémon you would use in Double Battles, specially in VGC tournaments.
You can find Hattrem as an encounter, and if you didn't train up Hatenna way back then, it's not too late to get one, it is a slow Special Attacker once fully evolved, and it has some really disturbing Pokédex entries despite its serene appearance.
There is one more encounter that is exclusive to Shield, and it is Galarian Ponyta, I'm sure all the My Little Pony fans out there are waiting for this. Galarian Ponyta is a Psychic-type with good Speed, and when it evolves into Galarian Rapidash, it will learn Psycho Cut upon evolution. You can teach it Swords Dance through TR, along with good moves like Play Rough, High Horsepower, Megahorn, Drill Run, and Wild Charge. This is a good addition to your team if you are playing Shield, as Galarian Rapidash has really good Speed and Attack, at least being a Physical attacker does set it apart from Hattrem, which is more of a Special attacker.
