The next town is Stow-on-Side, and to get there, we have to go left from Hammerlocke, but Team Yell is in the way along with a sleeping Silicobra. It is time to get past Team Yell and take on some Trainers along the way, including one that likes to base her matches on luck.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

There are a lot of Pokémon to encounter on Route 6, so this Sand Snake Pokémon that was sleeping when we fought Team Yell is a new Pokémon called Silicobra. It is a random encounter, and it is a Ground-type with a unique Ability called Sand Spit, where Silicobra can create a sandstorm when it is hit by an attack. Its best stats are Attack and Defense, and it is one of few Pokémon to learn Glare and Coil, most of its good moves are learned by TMs and TRs, like Rock Slide and Earthquake, and it is a good user of Body Press, as that uses the user's Defense to calculate damage, and when Silicobra evolves, it has very high Defense. It's not a bad option to consider, but it is one of very few Coil users in the game.
Now for overworld encounters, and Yamask got a Galarian Form which focuses on Physical attacks, and I won't go too far with it, but it has a unique evolution method, which I might show off at some point, and there is no Galarian Cofagrigus, Galarian Yamask evolves into a new Pokémon. It can learn some good moves like Earthquake and Payback, so it's not a bad option.
Next up is Helioptile, which can immediately be evolved into Heliolisk with a Sun Stone, and can be retaught Thunderbolt and Volt Switch through the Move Reminder. Heliolisk has a good Special movepool, as it is able to learn Surf, Dark Pulse, Focus Blast, and Grass Knot, and it has very high Speed. I recommend getting one with Dry Skin, as this is the best Ability to go with on Heliolisk, downside is that it is frail on the Physical side. If you are looking for an Electric-type to use, Heliolisk is not a bad choice.
Then we have Maractus, even though it has good Special Attack, it is kind of average for a Grass-type, and its movepool is very shallow, as most of its coverage moves are Physical, Maractus is unfortunately outclassed, it's decent, but there are better options.
Now for the rarer encounters, in Sword, Axew is a 5% encounter, and Trapinch is a 1% encounter, and it is the opposite in Shield. Starting with Axew, it will have Dragon Dance, Crunch, and Dual Chop once caught, and you can reteach Dragon Claw to it, and it is set to go. It evolves into Fraxure, and then into Haxrous, and even though it doesn't evolve till later, Axew makes up for it in good Attack and access to Dragon Dance. Haxorus is a beast, this thing has massive Attack, and once it has a Dragon Dance set up, and with Outrage, Poison Jab, and Earthquake, nothing is safe from it, I strongly recommend it if you are lucky enough to get an Axew.
Then onto Trapinch, it will have Dig and Crunch right away, and even though you can get the TM for Dig here, Trapinch will have it right away. When it evolves into Vibrava, it loses 30 points of its Attack, but it does get that Attack back again once it becomes Flygon. Once fully evolved, Flygon will learn Dragon Claw, and can be retaught Dragon Dance, and can use Earthquake, which make it a good option. It is the only Ground/Dragon-type available in the game, because the fan favourite Garchomp is not in this game. Even though it has a rough start, Flygon is not a bad option to consider for your team.
Now onto random encounters, you can also get Dugtrio as an overworld encounter, but you will have already got it if you trained up a Diglett way back. First overworld encounters are Durant and Heatmor, Durant is more common in Sword, with Heatmor being rarer, and it is the opposite in Shield. Heatmor is unfortunately outclassed by better Fire-types, because other than its offensive stats, the rest of its stats are below average, so it's not too great. Durant has great Attack, Defense, and Speed, but bad special stats, and it can use Iron Head and X-Scissor for good damage, and it can also use Stone Edge, Superpower, and Crunch for good coverage, Durant is a great option for a Bug/Steel-type.
Then onto Duskull, which might not be much, but it becomes very defensive when it evolves into Dusclops. If you have a Reaper Cloth, you can trade it to evolve into Dusknoir. The good thing about Dusknoir is that it can relearn the Elemental Punches, and it is a defensive Ghost-type, so it's not a bad choice.
Then for a rarer encounter, Torkoal is a slow and defensive Fire-type, while Fire is not the best type defensively due to common weaknesses, Torkoal can get Drought, so it's not a bad option if you have Pokémon that benefit from the sun, it will have Lava Plume when caught, and I only recommend Torkoal if you want to go with a full sun team, because Water-types struggle in strong sunlight. This will be enough, as there is not much space left.
