I have arrived in Hammerlocke, where Chairman Rose and his secretary Oleana await, and we learn that Bede had crushed Hop's confidence in their battle earlier. Hammerlocke is a huge town with a treasure vault, and that the Gym Leader, Raihan cannot be challenged until all seven other Gyms are beaten.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Hammerlocke is a very big city, so there is a lot of exploring to do, and after learning about how easily Hop got defeated by Bede, we check out the Gym in Hammerlocke, but we cannot fight Raihan until we have defeated seven other Gym Leaders.
In one house, there is a Black Belt with a Level 2 Cottonee with Endeavor, and he will give you the Focus Sash. Thankfully the Cottonee does not have any priority moves, this reminds me of the old FEAR Rattata days in Diamond & Pearl, with Focus Sash, Endeavor, and Quick Attack, and that Rattata was capable of defeating even powerful Legendary Pokémon.
I also reveal that I have secretly trained up Toxel and Applin, and there is a reason behind it, this is where you can obtain a Tart Apple in Sword, or a Sweet Apple in Shield, but you will need an Applin on your team.
I did say that Applin was not that good back on Route 5, but now it is time to go over its evolutions. The Tart Apple in Sword will evolve Applin into Flapple, which has good offensive capabilities, and it is the only Pokémon to learn Grav Apple, which lowers the target's Defense stat, and it is a good mixed attacker, being able to learn Dragon Pulse, and through TR, Seed Bomb and Energy Ball. Flapple has decent stats, its Speed isn't too high, but it is manageable.
In Shield, you get the Sweet Apple, which will give you Appletun, which is the slower and more defensive out of Applin's evolved forms. Appletun has good HP and Special Attack, and it can learn Apple Acid, which is the opposite of Flapple's Grav Apple, where it lowers Special Defense. For other moves, Appletun can also learn Energy Ball and Dragon Pulse for good STAB moves, this is a test of patience, but it will be worth it if you can train an Applin up to about Level 30, then those forms are ready to fight.
Now onto Toxel, its evolved form Toxtricity has two different forms depending on its Nature, it will take a while, but the two forms are called Amped Form and Low Key Form. Toxtricity is one of my favourite new Pokémon introduced in Sword & Shield, it has a cool design, and it is the first Electric/Poison-type Pokémon we have ever had. As for stats, Toxtricity has good Special Attack, and fairly good Attack, and well rounded stats which are above average, so it is a good Pokémon if you can get Toxel up to Level 30.
Speaking of Toxel, there is an in-game trade where you can trade one for a Togepi, and you do get a Soothe Bell in Hammerlocke, so you can equip it to Togepi and cycle around for 30 minutes, and when it levels up with high enough friendship, it will evolve into Togetic, and if you have a Shiny Stone, you can immediately evolve it into Togekiss. With very high Special Attack and good defensive stats, and its Fairy/Flying-type, Togekiss is a great Pokémon, you can use the Move Reminder to get Air Slash and Aura Sphere on it, and with Serene Grace and a massive movepool, you will be ensured a higher chance of secondary effects, it can learn Psychic, Flamethrower, Dazzling Gleam, Thunder Wave, Shadow Ball, and a few others. Your patience will pay off once you get Togekiss, it is that great of a Pokémon to consider.
Another thing to note is the exclusive starter moves, Grass Pledge, Fire Pledge, and Water Pledge, those have interesting combo effects in Double Battles, when Grass Pledge and Fire Pledge are used together, it will create a sea of fire that damages all non-Fire-types on the opposing field for 4 turns.
When Fire Pledge and Water Pledge are used together, it will create a rainbow that doubles the chances of secondary effects for 4 turns, and if Water Pledge and Grass Pledge are used together, it will create a swamp that lowers the target's Speed for 4 turns.
Every day, you can visit the man in his house, and he will give a Heat Rock, Damp Rock, Smooth Rock, or Icy Rock at random, and those increase the duration of the respective weather. There is also the cafe, which you can do daily, and you have to fight a Level 37 Slurpuff and Alcremie, which are very tough since you will most likely have Pokémon at Level 30. You do also find some TM moves, like Charm, and in the left Pokémon Center, you can buy Bullet Seed, Fire Spin, Brine, Thief, Rain Dance, Sunny Day, Hail, and Sandstorm.
