After three months, we finally get a new update to Super Nintendo Entertainment System - Nintendo Switch Online, and four games have been added, as well as two for the Nintendo Entertainment System version. The four SNES games added include Star Fox 2, Breath of Fire II, Kirby Super Star, and Super Punch-Out!!, so a good collection of games.
This one will be Kirby Super Star, which released in 1996, and was also known as Kirby's Fun Pack in Europe. Kirby Super Star has 8 games in one, which include Spring Breeze, Dyna Blade, Gourmet Race, and The Great Cave Offensive. This game also had the Helper mode, which is where you can have an enemy join up with you, so you can have Sir Kibble or Waddle Doo fight alongside you in battle, this feature predated Kirby Star Allies, where you had helpers in that game as well.
Being a fan favourite Kirby game, it did get a remake on the DS in 2008 called Kirby Super Star Ultra. This game did get a lot of representation in the Super Smash Bros. series, because the Gourmet Race theme was used for the Dream Land stage in Smash 64, and we also got stages that originated from Kirby Super Star, including Meta Knight's battleship, the Halberd, as well as The Great Cave Offensive.
So much story happens in this game, from racing with King Dedede to eat the most food, to searching for treasure in a very large cave.
