Hello all and welcome to my let’s play of Phoenix Point! The Steam year 1 edition of the game came out and im playing through the game again. Hopefully we can complete the game this time over!
What their problem with him is exactly I dont know. Maybe he shot one to many eggs during an attack on a nest or something? Either way, out of the 3 missions that hes in today, he gets badly wounded twice!
Those 3 missions that he is on are 2 Haven defences and a lair destruction. We also have a 4th mission with our green team where we gather loot on a scavenging site. There however we dont run into Pandorans who go out of their way to harm our troops. Well not more then normally anyway.
Like I said in the opening line I spend some resources during this episode to kit out our troops abit more. However I dont nearly kit them out as much as I wanted to and over the course of this episode our expansive hoard of resources only grows! At the start of next episode I should change that abit, these resources arent doing anything for us just sitting in a warehouse after all!
We also continue some research and are starting to spend time on the story missions that have piled up over time. I think our squads are at a time point where they arent in massive danger of dying by lack of a decent statline. All squads also got decent firepower and decent toolkits to work with.
On the research side we unlock research to a light sniper rifle, one of the new weapons added by the year 1 edition so I also want to take a look at that next episode.
Overall, things are starting to get interesting indeed!

Phoenix Point is set in 2047 on an Earth in the midst of an alien invasion, with Lovecraftian horrors on the verge of wiping out humanity. Players start the game in command of a lone base, Phoenix Point, and face a mix of strategic and tactical challenges as they try to save themselves and the rest of humankind from annihilation by the alien threat.
Between battles, the aliens adapt through accelerated, evolutionary mutations to the tactics and technology which players use against them. Meanwhile, multiple factions of humans will pursue their own objectives as they compete with players for limited resources in the apocalyptic world. How players resolve these challenges can result in different endings to the game.
