Here's a quick video where I play through the maps devtest and devtest_01 from Portal 1. These maps test mechanics from the game and makes sure they work as intended (as indicated by some of the point_message messages). Some of the text that may not display correctly are at:

01:06 "Good! Now walk out of the portal!" (This one displays for a short amount of time)
01:22 "Ride the moving plaform into the ceiling portal! (you should NOT take damage)" ('platform' is misspelt)
02:17 "Shoot the invisible wall tests and check the results with the point text!"
