Learn how to develop high-performance 2D games with GPU hardware acceleration using new Stage3D APIs in Adobe AIR and Flash Player 11.

The lecture will lead you through the basics of using common 2D frameworks based on Stage3D (like Starling) and demonstrate what's currently possible with it. We will also go quickly through the process of deploying a game on mobile devices and tablets such as iOS and Android and discuss that properly. The goal is to build a mobile-friendly game with particle effects that will everyone be able to bring home and continue working on.

Prerequisites: installed Flash Builder 4.6, basic knowledge of programming in languages like ActionScript 3, JavaScript or C#.
