Propeller Arena: Aviation Battle Championship was an unreleased AM2 game from Sega. It's an arena based arcade flight simulator that sees, you dogfighting against other opponents for air supremacy. One of the planned highlights of the game was an online versus mode, along with four player co-op play. It's unclear if an arcade version was developed as no record of it appears to exist, despite the game playing as if it is an arcade port. This version runs at a solid 30fps.
While the championship mode is your standard arcade style mode. Quick battles is where you can battle the A.I. in single matches or square off against friends. Final ly the oddly named training area, is more a challenge mode, where you face a number of trials to score points and earn gold stars. The game is packed full of extras to unlock and by all accounts appears to be all, but finished, when it was cancelled.
Planned to release in late 2001, the game had to be cancelled due to the tragic events that occurred that year. This video takes you through the various modes in game and Riven our editor provides commentary on the game.
