Playstation 3 and PS Vita new surprise firmware updates do more harm than good. Sony removes key PS3 and Playstation Vita features. This should come as no surprise, considering the PS3/PSP/PS Vita stores were set to close this Summer before they changed that after the internet backlash.

PS3 Update 4.89
PS Vita Update 3.74

Removed account creation from the PS3/Vita
Removed some account management settings
Device password required for sign-on

Signing in to PlayStation Network now requires two-factor authentication for better account protection.

Account creation for PlayStation Network and certain account management functions are no longer available on the console. Use your PC or mobile browser to use account management features with improved performance, speed, and security.

Make If you do not have access to your original e-mail, you need to have the console that you created the account with. You'll need to provide the serial number needed to change the email. After that you still have to go through the process of verifying it, as well as changing passwords.*

*Credit to King Antman for finding a solution to the e-mail snafu.

From May 11th, 2022 content cannot be transferred from PS3 consoles to PS Vita systems. Content can still be downloaded directly to PS3 consoles or PS Vita systems or it can be transferred using a PC.

Existing PlayStation Plus subscriptions will not be affected by these changes. You can access and download all of your existing PlayStation Plus content. Additionally, you will still be able to access your already purchased content from your respective devices.

Most of this info is directly from Playstation. Other info was provided by myself and other gamers. I hope this helps. As of 5/12, I still haven't updated any of Vita's yet. I already had 2FA enabled on Vita prior to the update. Sadly, I no longer own a PS3 (lightning destroyed it a few years ago).
