Showing the five custom color edits I made of the character Charlotte in Samurai Shodown VI on PS4--it's a port of the PS2 version, which has a Color Edit Mode where you can edit the individual RGB values of each character's 15+ color palette, to give them five custom color sets in addition to their five regular sets.

First, showing my Charlotte color edits in motion:

time stamp / skin color / hair color / armor color / clothing color
0:00 - tan / auburn / brass / purple
0:40 - pale pink / scarlet / dark gray / black
1:12 - pale / blue-purple / purple / reddish purple
1:40 - brown / light blue-grey / blue / brown
2:02 - peach / honey / emerald / moss

(Notice Charlotte's taunt -- @ 1:58 -- can actually strike the enemy with her tossed bouquet--very similar to Dudley's 3rd Strike flower toss taunt! In SamSho VI on PS4, Taunt is uh I think it's right side of touchpad + forward (either that or maybe left side of touchpad / back? I forget : P).)

Then I go to Color Edit Mode and flip through the color sets in the same order, showing the individual RGB values.

Charlotte's color set-up is deceptively simple: she's dominated by her suit of heavy armor that has its own built-in shine, and has very little skin visible--and no skin highlight color; all of this means that her colors are relatively inflexible, they kind of want to be set in a very particular way; if you want to go outside that and do dark hair or dark skin, for instance, you don't have a whole lot of room to work before it gets weird looking. The usual green-skinned "Hulk" look I like to do just didn't fly, for instance--it came out flat and hard to see.

You select your saved color edits for actual use on a character in gameplay by holding the "Select" button (in the PS4 version, this is the left side of the touchpad) while pressing one of the game's regular five action buttons to select your character on the character select screen
