I call Saori and inform her that Shintani is dead. She asks me if I have contacted the police, but I ask her to do it as I need time to go over things and check his body for clues. I find his phone and check the last known calls. The police arrive lead by Kuroiwa. He accuses me of murder and says he knows that I've been getting information from Ayabe.
I head over to Genda's office to talk to him, Saori and Hoshino. I fill them in on what happened. I deduce that he knew more about the mole than I did and his source was Hamura so they killed him to keep their secrets safe. Genda offers me to stay the night at his office and he leaves with Saori. Hoshino stays behind and talks to me about finding the mole and offers his help. I accept his offer and I ask him to help check Shintani's phone to determine who he called before he died. Hoshino searches the number and it comes up as the Advanced Drug Development Centre (ADDC).
There was a murder there 3 years ago and I inform Hoshino that Shinpei Okubo was the accused and I got him acquitted. I tell Hoshino to meet me tomorrow at Charles Arcade and he says he will let Kaito know. After I sleep at Genda's for the night, I head out to the street to go to Charles but see an old man lying on the ground. I talk to him and he asks me to find some Mugwort plants for him. After I find them and he asks me to put them in his gourd container and shake it. He takes a drink and feels much better and tells me that it's a medicinal extract and introduces himself as Iyama. He makes extracts in an abandoned building.
Suddenly some Keihin gang members appear and start a fight. I struggle to defeat them so Iyama gives me a thunder strike extract which boosts my power. I defeat them and Iyama gives me the key to the Dragon's Palace which also has a casino and gambling hall. We then head there and he tells me he's trying to make different extracts and to find the ingredients around the city. I head to Charles where Hoshino, Kaito and Sigiura are waiting.
I go through the events of Shintani being murdered. I ask Hoshino, Kaito and Sugiura to help me track the mole. We try to work out the connection between the ADDC and Shintani. Sugiura informs us they created a drug and Hoshino shows us a video clip which talks about AD-9, a new drug that cures dementia. Dr Ryusuke Kido is presenting AD-9 in the video, and I inform the team that he showed me around the centre when looking into Okubo's case.
Sugiura suggests I call the ADDC to find out who Shintani was talking to there. They are unable to help over the phone so I deduce that I need to go there and talk to them in person. Hoshino wants to accompany me. Tokunaga loses his wig again so I chase it for him. Finally the wig stops but then a cheeky boy grabs it and runs away so I have to chase him. I finally get him and he returns the wig to Tokunaga. I then grab a taxi to the ADDC with Hoshino.
