2The Stick Up
Hamura is pissed as the Matsugane family cannot find me as I go into hiding. I try to call Kaito in hopes of alerting him to hide but he doesn't answer his phone. I return to my Yagami Detective Agency office to find Kaito there along with Higashi, a member of the Matsugane Yakuza family who I haven't seen in a long time. Kaito explains that they are looking for me and Higashi isn't happy as it appears that his thugs have been beaten up by Kaito as he has defended himself. Kaito asks him to leave and Higashi threatens to kill him before he leaves.
Kaito asks me to follow Higashi. Kaito explains that he's worried about him as he has changed so much. I tail Higashi into an arcade called Charles which is owned by the Yakuza. I notice Higashi go into a back room and I try to get in but the arcade worker tells me off for trying to enter. I then defeat him and he calls to Higashi for help as I enter the back room. Higashi is upset that I'm there and threatens me, but we talk and end up talking about how Kaito was kicked out of the Matsugane family for losing 100 million yen.
The scene cuts to the past where Hamura wants Kaito to cut his finger off to prove his loyalty. Matsugane-san then kicks Kaito out of the clan and I appear in time to help Kaito from cutting off his finger as he is now a civilian. I return to the office and talk to Kaito to inform him that Matsugane-san has lost control of Hamura who now controls the clan. I ask him abou the 100 million yen and Kaito explains that Higashi got it all back according to Ayabe. He suggests I talk to Ayabe to find out how and says to find him at Tender.
I head to Tender to find Ayabe. Jo at Bar Tender says that Ayabe isn't there yet but gives me a job from a regular client that wants to meet me at Hills Garden. When I get there, the masked Kamurocho bandits appear. Their leader Crow explains that they don't steal from the righteous. He wants me to help him find his friend Jester and says he hasn't been able to reach him. I accept the offer and they leave. I figure returning to Tenkaichi Alley were I last saw him might help. I find a masked person that looks like Jester, but it turns out to be a fan dressing up to look like him. After realising this won't help, I head to Senryo Avenue. Suddenly a police officer struggles to catch two of the masked bandits.
I ask the police officer if they stole something to which he replies that they did. The officer tells me that they steal from anyone which is contrary to what they told me earlier. I recall that they said they would meet up at the Kamurocho Theatre so I head there. I eventually find them and eavesdrop on their conversation. They go on to say that Crow was offered a job by a large corporation to steal secrets from their competition and the money they offered was so good that the senior members couldn't turn it down but the profits didn't make it down to the lower workers. They go on to say that Jester was different and had morals and didn't like how Crow was running the show so he left the crew. I deduce that Jester isn't missing, but he quit because Crow took over.
I return to Hills Garden to talk to Crow but find the bandits beating up the Jester fan. I defeat them and then Crow shows up. I confront him about stealing from everyone and he denies this. I ask him about the expensive jewellery he wears and he informs me that he intends to steal from a security van of a credit union with the client being the credit unions manager as they want to cover up a financial failure which is insurance fraud. He tells me that he intends to get rid of me after informing me of their intentions. After I defeat him in a battle, Crow says he will give up the stealing.
