As promised the awaited Quake 2 TAS video is here.

Like I said, I would use some cheats to complete this one since it makes it go way faster, and that's what I did. This was played in easy as well to make it faster and more intense to watch; I am not sure if I will return to this game at a later date, but after learning it in full after many years without playing, I might do a real speedrun of this one for YouTube only, since Speedrun.com does not have a category for this version, only the N64 and PC builds.

The game of course is great, a classic style FPS with one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard for it's type, a Metal/Rock styled one. It's fun, intense and it symbolizes a time when technology was advancing sporadically by the usage of PC technology in creating full games, as opposed to wave recordings in tape or CDs/DVDs, a standard for consoles. As a result, this game symbolizes the early days of 3D development, and it is a key component to understanding game design alongside the early Nintendo games from the Nintendo Entertainment System all the way to the Nintendo 64.

So thanks for watching, and it was fun and enjoyable making this video. And no I'm not going for any elite, record breaking stuff with this one, I was just playing in this style because I wanted to try something different. If anything, a speedrun might come later through 2017, like I've said.
