Quake II in 2023
0Quake 2 was the first game i recall seeing well implemented deathmatching over the internet, though not initally as most of us were still using low resolution Software Rendering & Dialup Internet, so it was an ugly lagfest lol
feels great jumping back into it after all these years, it was an exciting time as Windows was starting to become a decent gaming platform & DOS was being faded away, as a result this was the first game that using a mouse to aim with felt like a requirement rather than an option, i instead chose to use a controlpad & yeah... i got my ass handed to me lol, wouldnt be until a LAN party playing Quake 3 that id finally make the switch to mouse
