Raja Koduri has revealed Intel's advacned GPU plans for Intel Arc, not just for Intel Xe Alchemist but BEYOND onto Battlemage and Celestial. Raja discussed, among other things, their aggressive plans for Intel Xe production, and their plans for software. As much as things like specs, benchmarks, gaming and ray tracing performance is important, the proper software drivers and software support is crucial. Technologies like Intel XeSS upsampling are vital in the modern age of GPUs. This insight is an interesting look at how Intel are going to be competitive against AMD and Nvidia.
Intel Alchemist discrete graphics cards is highly anticipated, as more competition is sorely needed amongst the hugely frustrating GPU hardware stock shortages. So far, the rumours have pegged Intel Xe Alchemist GPUs as competitve in the mid range, but with Raja's & Intel's AGGRESSIVE plans detailed, it's clear that once Intel discrete GPUs release, the release schedule is going be breakneck and definitely keep AMD and Nvidia on their toes, even with the release of RDNA 3 and RTX 40.
