2RDR2 - Catching the Legendary Sockeye Salmon in Red Dead Redemption 2. As part of the 'Fisher of Fish' stranger mission given by Jeremy Gill in Gill Landing, New Hanover, you have the opportunity to catch 13 'legendary' versions of each fish species. To catch these you need to use either a special lake, river or swamp lure (all available from the Lagras store).
The Sockeye Salmon can be found in the icy Lake Isabella to the north. I fished it from the edge of the ice. It's the biggest and hardest fish in the game to catch. The first time I hooked it I got too eager and snapped my line. The second time I hooked it so far out it took over 6 patient minutes to bring it in. Once you have it, camp and fast travel to a post office (save beforehand, you definitely don't want to do this one twice)
